Tool have defied conventions and classification through their 30-plus-year exploration of progressive rock and unorthodox visual expression at live shows. Forming in Los Angeles in 1990, the original quartet of Maynard James Keenan, Adam Jones, Danny Carey and Paul D'Amour showed relatively straightforward traces of heavy metal on initial offerings like 1992’s Opiate EP and their 1993 debut album Undertow. After recruiting bassist Justin Chancellor, the band reached major mainstream success with their sophomore album Ænima (1996), which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and netted the band’s first Grammy for Best Metal Performance for the title track. Tool’s notoriety only rose as the band pushed further into more esoteric material with 2001’s Lateralus, which kicked off a streak of three No. 1 debuts on the Billboard 200 through 2019’s Fear Inoculum. Within that span, Tool has also logged two Hot 100 singles, two additional Grammy awards and several multi-year headlining festival spots at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and more.

Tool headed out on the fall leg of their North American tour in October 2023. After kicking off at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado, the tour covered much of North America through November. The band also played more dates in 2024, beginning on January 10 at the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, and wrapping on February 18 in Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena.

Every music fan should see this band! What a awesome group of musicians!
First off I'm not familiar with the entire Tool catalogue. That being said they only played 4 songs I knew. I'm not sure if the majority was off of the new release or what, but not knowing the music or lyrics for the majority of the 2 hour show bummed me out. The great part is they are every bit as good live as they are on the record, which is always awesome to see from any band! The other nice thing about the show was the visuals. The huge led wall and lasers made for an exciting experience. My only other critique is for the front of house soundman. Maynard's vocals needed to be more out front in the mix. Even knowing the words to the songs I knew it was difficult hear the lyrics. I don't know if I'll go see them again, but I'm glad I went. They are icons and I did not want to miss the chance to see them live at least once!
Hands down the best concert ever, there is no comparison with Tool
Tool only played 2 of their hits and everything else was so boring! Very disappointed. Had high expectations for my first Tool concert.
Spectacular Visuals and phenomenal sounds. The best kind of sensory overload! PLEASE COME BACK SOON!
I have been to many tool concerts but this one rakes the cake! First time for my brother hearing the music and seeing the show and afterwards said it was the best concert he has ever been too. Can't wait for them to come back on their next tour.
Great show. Sound was great where I was seated! Awesome venue
Enjoyed seeing Tool for the first time & I'm in my 40s. Definitely an experience
Unpopular opinion but Toll is good but also Meh. The bad is great especially drummer but music all sounds the same and I just don't get the hype. Venue was sub par, cashless aka annoying, everything is in cans even water and they have to be open, weird, and no camera or phones they threaten to kick you out.
One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Highly recommend. Only complaints I’d have are more with the venue. We had a security guy butt in and check our tickets in the middle of a song for what appeared to be no reason, and concessions are insanely expensive. But the show was amazing.
Most definitely a great show. Previous show had some distorted sound issue for the first 30-40 min. This time it was all great. Also the mood of the crowd was just right!
This was an absolutely amazing and brilliant show! 10 of 10 experience
The band was great, but the sound was awful. A muddy, mooshy mess!
The show was amazing, visuals, lasers and music was all spot on as always. Even my partner who had never seen them and likes them but isn’t super familiar with their music loved the show. To anyone that missed it be sure to catch them next time. It’s an experience not just a concert.
Awesome live band, see them as much as I can. Great show!
The concert was about 1/2 from Fear Inoculum, 1/2 "classic"songs. I personally love their new album and enjoyed every song from it. My nit is that they could have picked better from the classic side. Songs like Aenima, 46 and 2, Lateralus, Vicarious, Sober could have been in the mix (they did end with Schism).
Tool is a band that has been around a long time yet every-time you leave one of their shows it feels like the first. They have mastered throwing visual and audio together and taking you into a different universe for a couple of hours. Truly amazing artists and musicians!!
Tool was absolutely amazing as expected! I especially loved when they sat on stage and watched us as we watched the lights reflecting off of the gold and silver foil raining down. Like a magical dream. Yay!
I was very impressed with Tool they were amazing. I would highly recommend this concert you will not be disappointed
I have seen Tool 7 times and this will probably be the last. Concert was good, but I've seen them perform better. With the price of tickets, food, and drinks increasing greatly year after year, I will spend my money in a different manner. I always look forward to going to concerts, but it seems, the bigger the show, the bigger the disappointment (mostly because of the money I spend). I enjoy the smaller venues where I can move around more freely.
