Dashboard Confessional on Tour
Expect robust crowd participation when seeing Dashboard Confessional, a band that sonically splits the difference between R.E.M.-like jangle-rock and moodier emo-pop. The group favors cathartic songwriting full of deep, meaningful lyrics, ensuring that beloved singles such as "Screaming Infidelities" and "Vindicated" draw loud audience sing-alongs.
Early in their career, Dashboard Confessional toured with like-minded peers Weezer and Brand New, while in 2007 they went on the Rock Band Live Tour with Panic! at the Disco. In recent years, Dashboard Confessional have toured with Third Eye Blind and, in 2020, launched a 20th anniversary tour celebrating their vast catalog.
Dashboard Confessional in Concert
Chris Carrabba initially started Dashboard Confessional as a solo acoustic project when he was still fronting another band, the Florida-based emo rock act Further Seems Forever. When the vocalist/guitarist/songwriter left that group to focus on his own music, he quickly issued the second Dashboard Confessional album, The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most, in 2001. That album went gold and contained the song "Screaming Infidelities," which became a Top 25 alternative radio chart hit and spawned a music video that won the MTV2 award at the MTV Video Music Awards.
From there, Dashboard Confessional was off and running. Album number three, 2003's gold-certified A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar, reached No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 and spawned the hit "Hands Down." The song "Vindicated" featured prominently in the 2004 film Spider-Man 2 and reached No. 2 on the modern rock charts. Carrabba and crew continued on a hot streak with another gold album (2006's Dusk and Summer, which also topped the U.S. Top Rock Albums chart) and more studio work. Dashboard Confessional released the studio album Crooked Shadows in 2018 and celebrated their 20th anniversary by releasing a greatest hits album, The Best Ones of the Best Ones, in 2020.
This was my first concert and I have been listening to Dashboard Confessional for 20 years. They put on a great show for all ages and they brought the audience along for an amazing journey. They even extended their set list.
Dashboard is one of my favorite converts to go to! Chris always does such a good job engaging the crowd. His voice is incredible, he’s better live than on his recordings!
Great concert. Only thing I wasn't too thrilled about was people talking during performances.
Heard about this band, listened to some of their music and then bought tickets. The show left nothing to be desired - the venue (Fillmore SF) is standing room only, exactly what I like, the ambience was warm and welcoming, and the show was fantastic! Dashboard Confessional was supported by Piebald and both bands delivered beautifully - most songs ended up in a sing-along... there were plenty of long-time and devoted fans present :)
Chris from Dashboard was sick so he wasn’t hose best. Liked Piebald’s energy. Need more balcony seating at the Fillmore SF.
All time favorite bands in the 2000's. Definitely hit the feels. It's always an experience when the crowd sings along to the lyrics. The sound quality isn't the greatest in the bar areas, so always make a push towards the pit.
Dashboard Confessional was great! I wish they played some of my favorite jams but overall it was a great show. The venue is perfect, intimate enough all the way around.
We ended upgrading our tickets because my husband didn't want to stand the whole time. It was a great decision! I felt like Chris was singing to me and I could just reach out and touch him! The show was awesome!
The Dashboard Confessional concert was outstanding. Great venue, easy parking, and they even let us in earlier than expected. I would highly recommend any show at this venue or with this performer!

It was so amazing to see All Time Low live! I absolutely loved it and i will be going to every future concert they have in this area.
I am supposed to be reviewing the dashboard confessional concert however they were not there! I completely understand that things happen but I do not understand why it would not be communicated at all.
I went to this for All Time Low but had a lot of fun seeing all three performances. I was pretty much right up by the front / middle area in the crowd for all time low. Seeing them play Dear Maria Count Me In live was something Ive wanted since middle school around the time the song came out.
It was great to see my first VIP experience with a rock band
