During our experience attending the Arnold Palmer Invitational this past weekend, what we were most impressed with was the choreographed system of available parking at Universal Studios followed by a shuttle bus to the venue. It was a seamless and convenient process aboard clean tour busses that dropped guests RIGHT at the 18th hole and merchandise tent-absolutely NO extended walking needed to enter the course. We were also impressed with the availability of complimentary sunscreen dispensers and cooling towels sponsored by the local health care system. While we were only able to walk a small portion of the course, the numerous concession stands we encountered all served the similar options of burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, brisket tacos and chips (all were good), it would have been nice to have had a better variety of food tents and vegetarian and/or healthy options as well. There was an abundance of helpful volunteers at any given time who made navigating the course easy. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
If youâve never been to a PGA event this is the one to attend. Very fan friendly. Great course and incredible players! Plan to attend again next year!!
Wow. I returned to the Arnold Palmer Invitational Golf Tournament after 6 years away. What a special event. The course was magnificent and the tournament has so many concession stands you are always close to a drink or a meal. Lots of public stands to view from. Great viewing locations along each hole. Things I learned: Food is much pricier than in the past. I wish I had packed a few sandwiches and Arnold Palmer Iced Teas. Could have saved $40-$50. Parking at Universal. Poor job by Universal. No special help for the extra 20k cars getting in. Mixed with normal Thursday traffic. Lost 30 minutes waiting in line just to park. Lousy job Universal!! The Mastercard Booth at the driving range was awesome. I should have budgeted an hour there instead of just 20 minutes. Free to Mastercard customers. Finally hats off to Ticketmaster. I downloaded the app for first time. 5 star app. Everything I needed plus helpful emails about the event. Canât wait for next year.
Always enjoy attending the API. Having met and followed Arnie, I wish to honor his many achievements both on and off the course. He was first class! I chose to attend the API Tuesday practice round as it is not congested and one can enjoy an up close experience with the players. This yearâs experience met my expectations. The volunteers were extremely helpful and the players were very gracious with the fans! Hospitality concessions was below average and Arnie would not be pleased, as anything associated with his name was first class. Concession stands were fully staffed with helpful volunteers who could only offer apologies why they didnât have items listed on the menu! In addition the Master Card pavilion was roped off and not accessible. I hope to attend the A.P.I. next year with hopes that these concerns will be addressed to insure that Arnieâs First Class fan experience is experienced. đ
I enjoyed the tournament, being able to experience the players close up was wonderful. Watching them putt, chip and hit their irons was amazing. Canât wait until next year.
The event was excellent but I was very disappointed that ticket master didnât accept Master card as payment as this event is sponsored by master Card
easy parking at Universal- no wait on getting there or back to the car. Good free spectator seating, but obstructive view on 17 was a little disappointing. The course is not super easy to get around, but with a little planning you can see the best in the world!
The course is beautiful but so challenging. Food and beverage tents were on most holes and had decent food offerings. Only negative, they could use more bathrooms along the course.
Best run pga tour stop I have attended from parking to volunteers and everything in between. Only complaint was limited food selection and exorbitant prices for what they did have.
