    Nice Event

by docsoo on 7/2/12Fox Chapel Golf Club - Pittsburgh

Beautiful golf course. Easily traversed. It was easy to follow the group I wanted to see. Concessions and port-a-johns were plenty and easily accessible. The staff and volunteers were all polite, patient and helpful. The fans, with the exception of a few goons with camera phones, were very polite and showed great respect for the players, the tournament staff and the golf course. Parking was plentiful and the tournament planners provided easy access to the golf course from parking areas. I would be thrilled to see this become a yearly event at Fox Chapel.

    'Senior' Golfers

by Anonymous on 7/2/12Fox Chapel Golf Club - Pittsburgh

Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Championship at Fox Chapel Golf Club was a great event. Even though it was 90 degrees, there was still plenty of shade and water to keep us fairly comfortable. We always enjoy watching the pros (any age or gender) in person. It makes you appreciate the difficulties of the game & the talents of the individuals. PLEASE keep bringing golf tournaments to the Pittsburgh area!

    Great Golf Tournament

by TRH23 on 7/2/12Fox Chapel Golf Club - Pittsburgh

Fox Chapel staff and volunteers provided an excellent experience. Up close and personal experience with players and caddies. Kudos to Dr. Jim and Bea Bradley who sponsered the Birdies for the Brave Patriots’ Outpost Pavilion along the 18th fairway. As a retired military member , we were pleasantly surprised at the hospitality of your staff. We look forward to another Champions Tour event in the area.

Senior Players - Fox Chapel enjoyable experience

by WinkJL on 7/2/12Fox Chapel Golf Club - Pittsburgh

This was my first PGA event that I ever attended and based on my experience I hope that it isn't my last. I would definitely go again. The event was well organized and the viewing experience was great. The crowds were well managed as well as the transporataion to and from the event. It was easy to navigate the course and get very close to the action and the players. Much information was available as to the seedings and tee times both on the PGA website and brochures distributed at the gate. Vendor hospitality tents were accessable yet unobtrusive. The course layout made it easy to cover a lot of ground and see almost all of the threesoms. The only suggestion that I would have would be to allow cameras in a designated area (maybe by the scorers tent) so that fans could get snapshots of their favorite players. Overall I had a great time.

    Excellent Golf!

by PChar on 7/2/12Fox Chapel Golf Club - Pittsburgh

The venue for the Constellation Senior Players Championship was fantastic and was only exceeded by the golf. These guys put on quite a show from the practice green to the course. All were friendly and accomidating. My only recommendation would be more refreshment stands. It was 95 degrees and finding places to purchase water was a challange. Overall though the tournament was very well organized.

    Seniors

by Calibogie on 7/2/12Fox Chapel Golf Club - Pittsburgh

Well organized event on a hot day. Golfers way better than expected. Howcan big tour players be any better? Some observations: 1. I resent having to pay for water; especially on a 90 plus day. Gouge the customer and he won't show, as I didn't ' on Sat and Sun. American bizzness geniuses can be amazingly stupid. Learner the next dat that sponsors allowed specs to bring in their own water. LOTTA good that did me..... the next day. And, they probably would not have allowed the camel. 2. Some pot the Marshall's need to lighten up ___ this is true at any golf event. Just say 'n. 3. Best laugh of the day provided by some junior Gman packing asidearm. Was he Greg Norman 's bodyguard? Head shaven, handcuffs, combat boots, tight t shirt. The whole look --- straight out of GI Jane. Had to push gallery around -- Norman 's caddy laughing his head off.

Seniors put on a good show

by friesman on 7/2/12Fox Chapel Golf Club - Pittsburgh

The Seniors put on a good show and the golf course was magnificent. Mother Nature could have been a little kinder, temps in the mid nineties was a bit much but not enough to spoil the event.

The event was great. The crowds were small, so you could get up close to your player, including Couples. The only downside is Westchester is not great for spectator walking with all the hills and sidehill walking. Otherwise Fantastic! Thanks

    Senior Players Championship the Best!!!

by Wickpadre on 8/23/11Westchester Country Club - Harrison

The Tournament and venue was the best I've attended in years. Comfortable surroundings and weather made for a perfect day. The players were relaxed and accomodating. Great for children to be exposed to golf in that manner.

Excellent Day to Watch the "Seniors"

by Downcast on 8/23/11Westchester Country Club - Harrison

We enjoyed both staying at the 12th green and watching the various groups come through as well as following a threesome around the back nine. The weather was perfect - the pace seemed pretty good and it was a treat to watch the "senior" golfers hit so accurately and so far - without fail - time after time.

    Good news, Bad news

by Beefeatergin on 8/23/11Westchester Country Club - Harrison

The good news is that this event was staged at a magnificent golf course. The event was sparsely attended based on previous tournaments held here. This allowed for amazing ,up close and personal access to some of the worlds greatest golfers. They may be seniors but there ability is still incredible. The players themselves were very accessible even though this was a Major championship for them. I understand they signed many more autographs then their breathren on the PGA tour. It was fun to be up close to some of my younger year golf hero's. The Bad is that I am afraid because of the same sparse crowds that it may be difficult to get a large corporate sponsor. With out the sponsorship, I am afraid this enjoyable event may not pass our way again...

    Good Action at the Seniors

by Harry62 on 8/23/11Westchester Country Club - Harrison

This was a good tournament to see. The crowds are smaller than at a regular PGA Event. You can get very close to the players. The lines were short at the concession stands.

    CE Senior Players Championship

by Sharoyn on 8/22/11Westchester Country Club - Harrison

This was a great event. I am surprised there were so few spectators. The only thing missing at this event was spectator bleachers out on the course.

    Sr. Golf at Westchester CC

by DougAr on 8/19/11Westchester Country Club - Harrison

The course was good but easy to find. I had been there years before so I had to remember where but there was minimal signage.. and notthing I remember seeing on the parkways. I found the course to be in great shape and the sr. players were great. I saw them up close and they can still play well. After a brief shower, what's not to appreciate..

The beautiful weather on Sunday made the day perfect. The admission fee was reasonable . Batlimore Country Club is a pleasant old-style course. There was easy access to the players and the Senior Pros were very receptive to fans. There were no crowds to fight so it was easy to see what was happening. There were no crowds at the concession stands or porta-potties which were strategically place. The only negative -as usual food and beverage prices were too high.

    great tournament, great course

by VAhacker on 10/5/09Baltimore Country Club at Five Farms - Timonium

This is my second year at the CE Senior Players Championship at the Baltimore Country Club in Timonium. It is a fine event. Low-key enough to get around without drama but certainly very well attended (shuttle service from two parking areas for the spectators). I enjoy seeing the golfing stars of yesteryear still doing their thing. Many I never heard of but many I have. And watching them play is a visual lesson for us hackers. This year, Jay Haas came on strong late in round 4 and took the tournament out of the hands of long-time leader Tom Watson, who at one point, had a 3-stroke lead over the field.
