Anytime I have the opportunity to watch the legends of golf is a great day. Caves Valley is a beautiful golf course. All the volunteers I encountered were friendly and accommodating.
The Senior Players Championship at the Philly Cricket Club was a great experience to be right next to the greatest golfers that my parents grew up watching and they are still playing today for me to see them play. I went Friday, which is round 2 and called moving up day so you can get past the cut line to play the weekend. It was not too crowded to follow the great Tom Watson and the winner Langer. It was a very run tournament and all the volunteers were wonderful.
I have attended many golf tournaments. What can make it nice are the number of different food and drink venues......This event had the same ole concessions and no nicer A/C places where the general public could get out of the heat sit down and have a drink or food. Many other places are offering this now without having to buy a special ticket....grey goose lounge at the players is one I can think of.
to the best of my knowledge, there was only one set of bleachers for the general admission ticket holders--that one was at the tee box of #1. therefore we had to walk and stand all day
A wonderful event......watched the driving range.....saw all the players tee off....followed along with several groups and sat by the 18th to see the groups finish. All around wonderful day.
It was great to attend an event where you could get really close to the players. Cannot believe how poor the attendance was for such a tournament. Having played this course with great difficulty, it was nice to see the pros struggle a little as well. The Cricket Club looked fabulous in person and on TV. My criticism is personal in that only one general admission entrance was provided. I live close enough to walk to the main clubhouse but only VIPs could enter there. Maybe that thinking contributed to the low attendance. Again, a great event, beautiful course and nice weather. Also, almost nowhere to sit except VIP areas.
Great time --- nice course with a very relaxed atmosphere
Great event. Philadelphia Cricket Club was fantastic
This was a great experience for a friend, his birthday present, my wife, and I. Easy to get to and well worth the price. That we were able to get so close to the players on the tee boxes and greens made it all the more special. More people should experience this type of closeness with the players.
The event was extremely nice. Only issue was the parking should have been explained more prior to the event. They needed more signage directing people to the shuttle parking.
Had a great time there. Great weather definitely helped, couldn't have asked for a better day. Only improvement would be more public bathrooms located around the course
What a treat to see the legends of the game tested at the fabulous Belmont Country Club. This Donald Ross gem (no longer hidden) was great for fans and players alike - lots of great places to get up close.
It is wonderful to have a senior event back in Ma. The venue is a huge improvment over Cincord Ma in the past. Getting there would be easy from just about anywhere in Ma.. The course in it self was beautiful. The event staff could not have been any nicer and the players really seemed to enjoy the spectators. I'm saying my prayers that the championship will be back next year. I would love to volinteer and be part of this exciting event. Go Champions tour. Keep up all the good work elliott
Course is beautiful and very accessible. Volunteers very friendly. Course is very hilly so bring those walking shoes. Colin Montgomerie and most golfers were very personable! Bernhard Langer, Tom Lehman and Sandy Lyle weren't so nice.
Well-run enjoyable golf tournament. I attend every year. The golf course was in perfect shape. Parking is free - have to take a shuttle bus but there was no wait time. Very visitor-friendly venue. Pittsburgh food trucks were present serving tasty food. Last but not least the golf was excellent and it was easy to see the pros close up.
Great venue, good seating around greens. Took my wife, her first PGA event and she had a great time. Only problem is the OUTRAGEOUS concession prices but that's typical of all PGA events.
Extremely hot and sunny day. Was able to be close to tees, holes, players, etc. Only thing that would have added to our enjoyment would have been shaded areas from which to watch. Some holes did have trees nearby.
We had a great time! The volunteers were friendly, the course was gorgeous, and it was amazing watching some of the more experienced golfers play!
Although I was disappointed because Tom Watson wasn't there, it gave me the chance to catch a smile from Hale Irwin. :)
