CUT COPY IN CONCERT:

Australian indietronica masters Cut Copy continue to bring the party to the people on their unforgettable tours. The band's live shows combine the real-time groove of a full band with mind-blowing lighting and visuals, making for a nonstop dance party at every concert. Whether they're playing originals like "Hearts on Fire" or covering fellow electro icons like the Presets, Cut Copy's imitable energy and showmanship never fail to leave fans feeling elated and euphoric.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Cut Copy began in Melbourne in 2001 as the solo project of Dan Whitford, a graphic design student with a budding interest in DJing and producing. Shortly after releasing his debut single "1981" Whitford added several members to the group, and In 2003 the new lineup performed their first show at Australia's Livid Festival. Their debut full-length Bright Like Neon Love dropped the following year, establishing them as a rising force in dance music and landing them on tour with big name acts like France Ferdinand and Bloc Party. Their upward momentum continued in 2008 with sophomore album In Ghost Colors, a disco-inspired collection of bangers that topped the Australian charts. Following the 2013 release of their fourth album Free Your Mind, Cut Copy delivered another stellar round of performances on the road, building anticipation among fans for their next tour dates.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Cut Copy puts on an amazing show. I've seen them three times in various cities and at each show had the best time."

"Not only were they amazingly good but the overall feeling and vibe to this show was next to none. They definitely know how to rock the house. Never a dull moment."

"These guys put on an awesome show. A lot of energy and the performance was flawless. They also came out after their set was over and performed two songs as an encore."

don't even need to see the stage to FEEL THE LOVE!

by IMGomez on 11/5/13Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

Saw Cut Copy in NJ at a similar, historic type theatre two years ago. It was memorable, but Cut Copy at THE FOX THEATRE just OOZED with love and energy! My boyfriend and I had previously committed to engagements on this day and were not planning on going to the show, but after listening to the new album, we decided we would make it work some how! We bought the tickets on Ticketmaster the morning of. The prices were still the same, and floor general admission was surprisingly not sold out. We arrived just before 10pm, lucked out on parking, and retrieved our tickets at the Box Office with ease. No line at all to get our wristbands. Place got dark within minutes of our arrival (great timing). We were going to hang out on the floor, but apparently, Cut Copy fans are really tall, and we could not see the stage, nor could we make room to dance. So, we went back to the general admission area near the bar, and the good vibes were free flowing and abundant! Everyone was dancing and/or singing along. As for the band, you can tell they are veteran musicians. Everything sounded flawless. They fed off of the crowd's energy. It's like they could read our minds as far as what we wanted to hear next They literally played all of their dance hits. The venue was beautiful and crazy! The light show added a whole other element to the show. It was surreal just being there. I feel very fortunate to be living in a time where music like this is being made and performed. Thank you, CUT COPY. Thank you, FOX THEATRE! Thank you, OAKLAND! Everything came together perfectly.

The show was a lot of fun, lots of enthusiasm from the crowd. The band played well. Not as amazing as the last time I saw them, but still an enjoyable experience.

I saw them back in the day at the Masquerade and it was an awesome show. Needless to say, they were awesome... again! Holy Ghost wasn't bad either.

This was my 8th time seeing Cut Copy, and they just keep getting better and better. What an amazing night! This amount of dance-infused fun should not be legal.

I saw them last summer at Pitchfork in Chicago. They were great there- but amazing at the Palladium. The venue and lighting really made it amazing. Cut Copy is always a good dance party.

by LAToyBoy on 10/14/11Hollywood Palladium - Hollywood

Really fun show at the Palladium, which by the way is a nice venue. Everybody was dancing and singing along; it felt like a big party. Their sound reminds me of Depeche Mode of Violator days , with a little techno and pop mixed in. NIce varied crowd too.

    Go Go Go!!

    by jameyd0g on 10/14/11Ogden Theatre - Denver

GO to this concert - you will not regret it!! I was looking forward to Cut Copy, especially after listening to their latest CD. I expected this concert to be good but it was so much better than what I expected!! I go to a lot of concerts each year, and I have to say this might be the best concert I have seen this year. The sound was great, the band was great, even the audience was great. They are a high energy band, totally enjoyable and I would tell anyone not to miss them. Missed Midnight Magic but enjoyed Washed Out. They are a little more mellow than Cut Copy but very good. The band was tight and professional - all in all a great night out!!

    Cut Copy was frigging EPIC!!

by Mikexdubx on 10/6/11Ogden Theatre - Denver

I drove 14 hours from Vegas to Denver for this show. Totally worth it. They have an awesome stage presence, and really get the audience into it. They had great visuial effects to go along with the mood of each song. Tim got down on the cowbell in a way that Crhistopher Walken would be proud of. If you get the chance to see them.. DO IT.

Amazing music, great show! Watching them stand on the drum kit and create all sorts of crazy sounds with the backs of their guitars was insane!

I had heard a handful of CUT COPY's songs and I liked them, but I primarily bought my tickets to see Washed Out open. I was actually kind of underwhelmed by Washed Out's act, which is unfortunate because I enjoyed the new album so much. Their set list also seemed a bit short. When I listen to CUT COPY now, I feel it does them no justice. Their stage presence is incredible and I haven't seen a live act with that much energy in a long time. Really a fun (and sweaty) show, be prepared to jump & fist-pump! Definitely was a bit claustrophobic near the stage. Got whacked in the head by elbows a couple times and had booze spilled on me, which was kind of a buzzkill. I had friends who were towards the rear of the venue and they said they had more room to move around & dance. Kudos to whoever handled the lighting effects!

Worth every penny! Even if you have never heard of the band before I would recommend seeing them perform. They are amazing at grabbing you into their songs, before you know it you're singing along.
