Each year, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival celebrates the city’s music and culture with the biggest names in jazz, blues, rock, and a host of other genres associated with The Big Easy. Spanning two weekends of concerts, the festival consistently boasts a ridiculously impressive lineup of artists ranging from seasoned rock legends to gospel groups, pop stars, and indie favorites. With Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, Christina Aguilera, Phish, and the Arcade Fire heading the bill in 2014, the festival will once again deliver fans maximum bang for their buck over seven nights of unforgettable performances.
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival kicked off in 1970 with an inaugural lineup featuring Duke Ellington, Mahalia Jackson, and Fats Domino. Since then, a veritable who’s who of music’s finest have graced its stages, making it one of the most successful festivals in the country. Despite Hurricane Katrina’s impact on New Orleans, the storm did little to dampen the event’s spirit and popularity – the 2007 festival drew a whopping 350,000 attendees. With another world-class lineup of artists in 2014, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is set for another outstanding year.
