    Great show mediocre performance

by Ange on 12/18/18Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

Legally blonde is a great show! With the right cast, staging, and directing it’s an incredible show! This had not much of any of that. The cast was talented, but most times not very energetic or enthusiastic. Although we were told they just got new microphones, the sound wasn’t good. Many of the cast were miscast in their roles I.e Emmett and Warner who looked and sounded nothing like the characters they were portraying. Elle was great at times and at others appeared to have lost all desire to be onstage.

    Such an amazing performance!!

I was blown away by the talent and amazing job that all the actors and actresses had and did. I had gone with some friends to see an old friend of ours and we were not expecting the musical to be as amazing as it turned out to be! Definitely comparable to the broadway version!!

My daughter and I traveled to Toronto from Michigan to see this and it was great! We are fans of the musical and think the company did an excellent performance. We had a lot of fun!

That Calfas girl really lit up the stage! You could see her facial expressions from the founders circle seats!

Loved Legally Blond, Emma was the perfect Elle!

by gdlily on 7/30/13Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

Loved "Legally Blond" what a fabulous production; the songs, dance numbers, music, and cute little doggie Browser (?), actors, musicians all were great. Had such a great time I never once started to fall asleep, which is the indicator if the production is five stars for me. The lead Emma D. was the perfect Elle, she looked striking in her pink costumes and sang and dance with ease, confidence and style; I'm keeping my eye on her.

    Best Musical in Years!

by MFLANNE1 on 7/30/13Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

I brought my nieces to Legally Blonde and we absolutely loved it. The sets, choreography, and talent were Broadway quality! Terrific performances by all of the cast, we will see more shows at Cabrillo!

    Legally Blonde

by Carpinteria on 7/30/13Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

Mediocre production with amateurish, anemic dancing and soulless singing. The orchestra was pretty good. The theater, itself, has the acoustics of an airplane hanger (though its reasonably-wide seats are refreshing). The fact that Cabrillo suggests its productions are anything other than adequate community theater is appalling. This is a great musical, but Cabrillo surely performed it quite poorly. Yuck. My advice? Don't go to Cabrillo performances (or go with severely reduced expectations for anything that approaches quality).

    Legally blonde was amazing!!!!

by Tishagurl on 7/29/13Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

I am a legally blonde fan ever since first movie came out. I have been looking forward to this musical for eight months and it completely blew my mind! It was everything I thought it would be so much more! It's definitely something I would see over and over again if I had the extra money.

    Way Better Than Expected!! . . .

by ScottTKay on 7/25/13Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

My daughters wanted to see this and I really wasn't thinking it would be very good. But it was great, IMO. Good story, fast paced, lots of singing and dancing, and the performances were stellar. Highly recommend . . .

    Talent coming out their ears...!

by AncientLinguist on 7/24/13Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

Not being from this area, and only having the vaguest idea as to the story-line, and not knowing that the Cabrillo Music Theatre is a jump-off point for talent on the way to Broadway--I was blown away by the talent and energy generated by the cast of this production. Being a grey-haired old foggey, I can share, without fear of contradiction, that the audience was overwhelmingly of the female variety--the average age probably well over forty. In addition to there being only a handful of people under, say, eighteen--there was, of course, adult language and suggestive scenes of the mildest variety. What stood out for me, as someone of the straight-male persuasion, was that the authors and producers of this particular musical seemed to have been able to capture the focused essence of female (or should I say, "feminine"?) sexual energy in a way that was engaging, hilarious, and thoroughly entertaining!

    Legally Blonde was great!

by MANDRMOM on 7/23/13Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

My daughter, age 11, had wanted to see it and it did not disappoint. It was a little hard to understand all the words during the first 1/2 of the show but they fixed the sound system during the second 1/2.

    Cute and Corny

by whocareswhoiamorwhatisay on 7/23/13Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

The actors are to be commended on their performances of this cute but corny adaptation of the hit comedy movie Legally Blonde. The actors are very talented "triple threats" who entertained us with their music, dance and comic performances. The play itself is a bit corny, makes us wonder why the play writers keep trying to turn comedy movies into musicals. Unlike Sister Act, which was a comedy movie about music, Legally Blonde as a musical just didn't cut it for us. We enjoyed the entertainment, but can't recommend this a something great to spend hard earned dollars.

    Unbelievably Well Done!

by MiloandYosi on 7/23/13Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

The whole cast was so professional and well-prepared. Truly a first rate performance by all involved. The amount of choreography and set changes was staggering, but was done flawlessly. What a great afternoon!
