    Eclectic lineup

by Bonanasplit on 8/2/12Bowery Ballroom - New York

I felt pretty bad for headliners The Death Set even though I came for Anamanaguchi (as did a majority of the people there). Everyone shouted for an encore after Anamanaguchi played but obviously didn't get one... and most of the people left after that, leaving The Death Set with no serious audience. I decided to stay because I was familiar with their music and enjoyed it... and I actually felt bad for them and paid with the intention of seeing them. Which was great because I actually got to "spaz" with all the huge dudes without getting crushed to death like I did during Anamanaguchi. Ninjasonik was amazing and a bunch of awesome and fun dudes, they really loved to party!! I didn't have much of a preference for HUSSLE CLUB but it was their cd release party and everyone was celebrating :) No props to the people throwing their cds around instead of bringing them home... they PAID to make that stuff happen! The first band, Figo, played to an empty floor, and sadly messed up their first song and lost some of their appeal. Overall, THEY WERE GREAT FOR THEIR GENRES AND IT WAS AN AWESOME SHOW! :D Oh, and Peelander-Z was there too D:

Great concept, poorly executed. Great for the 16 year olds though...

Lot of fun. Broke my finger, lost a contact and serious neck pain the next day.
