A laugh-filled evening with family and friends!

by IlliniRay on 2/1/22Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - Bloomington

All the NYC comedians were great 👍 But the best of all was the host and opening act, STL comedian, Meredith Hopping!!!

    Disappointing performance

by Anonymous on 5/17/15Brave New Workshop - Minneapolis

As an ardent Daily show fan, I was disappointed by the show the writers put on. I'm sure they are skilled writers, but it seemed obvious that stand-up comedy isn't really their cup of tea. All four of them seemed unprepared, and their jokes lacked any sense of depth and insight that a Daily Show fan would generally expect.

    Terrible

by Anonymous on 4/23/15Lincoln Hall - Chicago

The Daily Show writers know how to write a TV show, but don't seem to know how to do standup. The first three comedians tried pandering to us by either mentioning Chicago locations or businesses or claiming not to know anything about Chicago. Not interesting or funny, and actually pretty lazy. Finally, the third comic figured out about half way through the set that she should tell jokes instead of reminding us that she used to live in Chicago. At least the second half of her set was funny! The final guy dispensed with the pandering completely and gave a reasonably funny set, but it was over before I knew it. 1.5 out of 4 comics being good are not odds I would have expected from Daily Show writers. For the same price, I probably would have enjoyed a standup set of unknowns. At least I wouldn't have to hear about how they are visiting Chicago.

Comics had a few chuckles and laughs but I wouldn't pay for a ticket next time they came around town. And their sets weren't particularly political-ish, just the random joke about Republican leadership.

Daily show- so funny my face hurt.

by lcruthless on 3/17/15Wilbur Theatre - Boston

The Daily show writer's standup tour was soooo funny that my face hurt from laughing so much. Typically with comedy shows the comics get better as the night goes on. These guys were awesome right from the start

    Fun night!

by JavaJavaJava on 3/17/15Wilbur Theatre - Boston

These guys were great and really funny! Great date night and the Wilbur is the best place to see a show!

It was a great time. Show was very entertaining, four different comedians. Getting at drink at the Wilbur takes forever, so I suggest getting it from their bar before the show starts.

    Political-ish...maybe

    by Pete601 on 3/17/15Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I'm not sure they were as political-ish as we were expecting, but that wasn't why we attended the show. The writers were great and their comedy was belly-busting. We enjoyed every moment. Even the off color jokes that made people groan were on point. It's not easy to cater to a Boston crowd and keep them laughing. Only issue I had was that the group kept referring to themselves as 'old'. Since when is 30-something old? I'm glad they recently stopped acting like children, but they insulted the majority of people in the room every time they threw out the line. Put that in perspective and you have a great show!

Well executed and funny! A special night for lovers of satirical comedy

    Meh

by TAPC on 3/17/15Wilbur Theatre - Boston

The comedians focused mostly on their personal lives, but their lives just weren't that interesting. The comedians were all in their 30's, very fearful of ever having children, and spent a lot of time talking about masturbating and porn. There are far more funny things out there. I was hoping for some cutting edge political comedy. I laughed but I thought, in another ten years, they might be really funny.
