    Hilarious but unexpected

by Anonymussss on 3/15/15The Wilbur - Boston

A friend had invited me to this show and I expected more of a "politicalish" stand point but overall, I thought the comedy was hilarious. I've been to various comedy shows before and thought all of the writers were powerfully talented but also had potential to do better. Granted, they are writers more than they are performers and perhaps this might take away from the experience a bit. Each writer had their own personality and tempo and they clashed a bit on stage. It might be more powerful if they ended the show with a group comedy performance rather than Q+A.

    not the Daily Show

    by RobC777 on 2/25/15The Paramount - Huntington

This had absolutely nothing to do with the Daily Show. Just a bunch of mediocre comedians.

The Daily show should be renamed the Dudly Show

by Yuckkk on 2/24/15The Paramount - Huntington

This was terrible. We were all so disappointed did the Paramount preview this before they booked. Usually love all comedians and only slightly chuckled for the first guy and maybe once for the last guy. The 2 in between we're painful

    Daily writers-A -Disappointment!

    by Raquellie3 on 2/24/15The Paramount - Huntington

My daughter and I were excited about seeing the daily show writers comedy show. It seems, however, that the writers felt they just had to physically show up and rest on their past credits. The only interesting and funny part was the Q&A after they finished. Now we know why Jon Stewart is leaving. These guys were awful.

    Just okay - not great.

by tonicar on 2/24/15The Paramount - Huntington

I found that the material was okay but something was missing..... I just didn't get the deep belly laugh that we have experienced in the past at the comedy events there. maybe it was just the crowd and energy that night. We went with another couple. Everyone agreed.

Daily Show Writers were a little too whiny

by Bassetrivers on 11/4/14Great Scott - Allston

The Exec Producer guy was funny and the guy from Michigan was mostly funny - but the other two, while they had their moments, were not very polished or really all that funny. They relied on cheap jokes (like making fun of someone coming out of the bathroom because the hand drier was loud, or asking if there were parents in the audience then telling them they should be home with their kids. I don't find alienation of the audience as particularly clever or entertaining -- rather I think it is lazy and off-putting). And, 3 of the comics were WHINING A LOT about how their friends all got married and have kids and won't play video games with them anymore. Seriously?? Guys - you are all in your 30s, people grow up then! I was hoping for more political stuff like the Daily Show, it was just an average stand-up show. Also - the venue sold too many tickets and some people had to stand in the hallway to the bathroom.

    Disappointing

    by thompson101 on 11/4/14Great Scott - Allston

Show was a bit disappointing. Was expecting more daily show style humor, but it was just normal standup from people who work on the daily show. The standup was marginal at best, not much better than what you'd expect from an open mic night. The Q&A at the end about their work at the daily show was interesting. However, they only took a few questions. Overall, if you go in with the correct expectations the show might be worth it, but don't expect anything near the quality of the jokes and humor you get on the daily show.

    Great evening

by Anonymous on 11/4/14Great Scott - Allston

I thought all the comics were good, the evening ran smoothly, and the Q&A at the end was cool to see. The lack of available chairs was a downer, but that's it.
