About

The Black Crowes are leaving the bullshit in the past. 15 years after their last album of original music, the Robinson Brothers present Happiness Bastards - their 10th studio album. Some may say the project has been several tumultuous years in the making, but we argue it's arriving at just the right time. Call it brotherly love or music destiny that brought them back together, the highly anticipated record consecrating the reunion of this legendary band just may be the thing that saves rock & roll. In a time where the art form is buried beneath the corporate sheen of its successors, The Black Crowes are biting back with the angst of words left unsaid penned on paper and electrified by guitar strings, revealing stripped, bare-boned rock & roll. No gloss, no glitter, just rhythm and blues at it's very best - gritty, loud, and in your face.

Since The Black Crowes reunited in 2019, they've made a triumphant return to form with over 150 shows spanning 20 countries worldwide, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Shake Your Money Maker, the album that put them on the map. Upon their return from the road, they knew they needed something new to show for their lost time. The Robinson Brothers and longtime bassist Sven Pipien headed to the studio with producer Jay Joyce in early 2023 and the experiences of years past transcribed themself through the music as the band found their way back to their roots. And it's finally here - Happiness Bastards is out March 15, 2024.

    Great time!

by Guy on 5/8/24Ovation Hall at Ocean Casino Resort - Atlantic City

Front band was not very good but the Crowes were as always, awesome! The venue is perfect for any seat but the length of performance was short lived...expected it to be longer..they played Remedy but didn't hear my favorite Cursed Diamond...Would definitely go again to see them as well as other bands of interest in the Ocean Resort venue! 5 Stars for the Crowes and Ocean...

    Short set šŸ˜Ŗ

by Jimmy P on 5/8/24Ovation Hall at Ocean Casino Resort - Atlantic City

Excellent sounding show, they rocked the house! But an hour and 10 minute set left us wanting more!!! Very disappointing

Great setlist of new and older songs that showed how great the Black Crowes are live.

    One of the greatest

The sound, the performance, were just flawless. The perfect mix of present and past. Just a great time.

Was that long enough to be considered a concert?

by Len on 5/7/24Ovation Hall at Ocean Casino Resort - Atlantic City

For the price of the ticket, the show was waaaaay too short. I am really aggrivated that I payed $70 for a seat that was up high and the band was leaving the stage roughly 50 minutes after it started. I expected a 330-40 minute encore and they played one short song and left. Disgraceful.

    Not that great

by Byz on 5/7/24Ovation Hall at Ocean Casino Resort - Atlantic City

I feel like it would of been a good show if the sound was better. Every instrument and Chris's voice were in a competition all night which one can drown the other out. A new sound guy would be beneficial to the band.

Seeing The Black Crowes after many years was great! First saw them in 1991 . Concert was fantastic but way too short.

    Too Short

by Jeff on 5/7/24Ovation Hall at Ocean Casino Resort - Atlantic City

I have seen TBC several times. This time I travelled to Atlantic City From Harrisburg, Pa (3 hours) with my wife, son and his friend. My son and his friend are musically inclined and play their music. This was their first time seeing them live and they were very excited. They only played for an hour, but the previous set lists showed that they played other venues for over 2 hours. Not sure if somone was sick or what the case was. But, the music was still great!

    Disappointment

by finnle on 5/7/24Ovation Hall at Ocean Casino Resort - Atlantic City

The Black Crowes are one of my favorite bands. Iā€™ve seen them close to 50 times live, although this was the first show I attended in over a decade. Although I would prefer to see familiar faces backing up Chris and Rich, I thought the new players acquitted themselves VERY well. And Iā€™m enjoying the new album quite a bit. My preferences lean towards Amorica and Three Snakes, but I also enjoy By Your Side, which is the closest equivalent to the new material from the Crowes catalog. However, the setlist was 15 songs long (shortest of the tour so far), and they played for less than an hour and 15 minutes. Thatā€™s inexcusable for a headline act at the ticket prices that are being charged. Maybe the days of two-set shows when the band played for two and a half hours are in the past, but this was about as close to a rip-off as they could get.

    Too short

by Monster on 5/7/24Ovation Hall at Ocean Casino Resort - Atlantic City

Concert was excellent musically. They sounded great and performed well. The concert was barely over an hour. When he came back for an encore, I expected them to play many songs. They played one which was a cover song.
