About

Tegan and Sara first established themselves as indie rock royalty in the mid-2000s. The Canadian duo released the critically-acclaimed albums So Jealous (2004) and The Con (2007), before evolving to more of a pop sound on 2013’s Heartthrob, which was produced by Greg Kurstin (Adele, Beck, Foo Fighters) and features the synth-pop hit “Closer.” Since their 1999 debut album Under Feet Like Ours, Tegan and Sara have sold over a million albums worldwide, and have played to sold-out arenas with artists like The Killers and Katy Perry. The twin sisters are also longtime activists, and are dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ women and girls through the Tegan and Sara Foundation, which they established in 2016. Their 2019 memoir High School was a New York Times best-seller, and was adapted into a television series of the same name. They released their 10th studio album Crybaby in 2022.

by SarahFina on 3/6/18Warehouse Live - Houston

I LOVE YOU TWO PLEASE HAVE A CONCERT! I have listened to you since you were on MTV in 2006. I love y'all and you guys also are the ones that brought my best friend of 25 years and I back together after a big fight.

Fantastic, as always. Really great to hear the Con in a new light, minimal but awesome band, proceeds going to their new charity, I'm so happy!!

    Vintage Tegan and Sara Experience!

by Badmotorfingr43 on 11/17/17Cathedral Theatre at the Masonic Temple Detroit - Detroit

It was amazing being able to hear them play the Con in it's entirety. I honestly didn't know it was an acoustic tour that I'd gotten tickets for. The show had all the classic Tegan and Sara banter you could ask for and it was refreshing to hear all those tracks stripped down from the high production sound they normally come with, especially in recent years. All in all, it was a perfect throwback, and a once in a lifetime T&S show.

    Love them, but...

by primitiveLoaf on 11/13/17Orpheum Theatre - Boston

I have seen T&S a few times and they are great live. I love them. They are fun and engaging and sound awesome. BUT I wish they wouldn't talk for so long between songs. A couple minutes of banter is fine but they tend to feed off each other, as twins are wont to do, and go on & on. Then, most of the audience is SO rapt and eager to participate they laugh at everything they little thing say. Everybody calm down and enjoy the music!

Nostalgic evening with Tegan and Sara

by LornaJodi on 11/12/17Orpheum Theatre - Boston

The Con was the soundtrack to every ugly heartbreak we endured a decade ago. It was fun sitting with our children who were waiting for "Closer" while we reminisced about days we are glad are behind us, and strangely grateful for the Quinn sisters and their ability to share their very relatable stories. These songs made us whole when it felt like our young adult hearts would never heal and we thought no one else could ever understand. We're even more grateful for music that crosses the generational divide between us and our much cooler daughters.

by Meloonia on 11/11/17Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

The Con Tour may have been my favorite T&S tour yet! They played for about 2 hours and every so many songs did hilarious banters about their lives. Love everything about theses girls!

by chellysaidwhat on 11/8/17Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

I knew it was going to be a good show, but it exceeded my expectations. The lighting and the stage was beautiful and the sound was just incredible. Tegan and Sara are so talented and hilarious and sweet and just so so good. The Con was good 10 years ago and it's just as good now.

    Tegan & Sara

by JessLET on 11/8/17Cathedral Theatre at the Masonic Temple Detroit - Detroit

What a great acoustic show. Very intimate and relaxing. Not a bad seat in the house. The banter between the two was very comical and entertaining too. I will definitely go see them again. They did not disappoint!

    Worst concert

by Worsted on 11/8/17Cathedral Theatre at the Masonic Temple Detroit - Detroit

For one they didn't play there most popular songs. They talked to much between songs. They sounded like crap. It was like they were just going thru the motions ,there hearts were not into it. There was no energy vibe in the concert. I wanted to leave early but I paid 77 dollars to see them ,so I stayed hoping that it would get better it never did. They sounded nothing like there music on the radio. I will never go see them ever again.

Only played for a little over an hour!

by Alex064 on 11/8/17Cathedral Theatre at the Masonic Temple Detroit - Detroit

Event said 7. Started at 8:30pm. Only played for a little over an hour and then started asking for money for their cause. I fully support and donate to lgbtq causes but only playing for an hour and then for 20+ mins talking instead of playing... they also did a full acoustic set for that hour. I was not aware that they would not only play the same amount of time most musicians do but on top of that play all of their songs acoustically instead. I would never see them again. Complete waste of my money.

The entryway was hard to navigate with so many people but the acoustics were good and the stage was visible.
