Taylor's soulfulness and the way he feels each one of his songs is amazing! Makes me feel it. Ya know? The concept shows are an outstanding idea! Can't wait to see which one he comes up with next or if he decides to tour one.

Taylor Hicks once again out did himself! Just like Joe Crocker jumped out of him! Very strong vocal! An unforgettable performance! Wish he would do more like this, Will go in a heart beat!.

The opening act was awful, the sound crew was absent, Taylor Hicks performed yet again the same show to a room full of octogenarians that came to see 'That nice young man from down the street.' I hope to never again see Taylor do his chicken dance, his reminiscence on his fleeting fame or his really good but gotten stale cover of Joe Cocker. The sound crew tolerated or was totally deaf to the constant feedback, hum and over mix of the base until Taylor literally stopped the show to get it fixed. The opening act had an amazing drummer that played like Keith Moon totally incongruous with the quasi country balladeer style of the band. The lead singer was a bald tall well built chap with a voice that only emanated from his nose, having a strong desire to communicate his feelings with his hands and singing songs whose lyrics were the distillation of every poor attempt of a country ballad. The word suck doesn't come close. This singer would never made it to a garage band in my world, we would have kept him locked up in the basement. As to the name of this group? I looked everywhere I could think, searched the internet for an hour and couldn't find it. So if the opening band is fronted by a lean 6'3" bald well built fella who talks with his hands, run for the exit. I would only see Taylor again if I had an overwhelming desire to remember his past or my date wanted to go and she was really really really special. It was a bad concert.
Visiting the Lyric was a treat after not seeing it for many many years. Taylor is very talented, and it was a very entertaining show.
Great show, great venue, great sound. Marketed as Joe Cocker cover concert but 1/2 the show was not.
Taylor Hicks put on a home town concert at the Lyric Theater in Birmingham, AL. The first set consisted of his own music and included a wonderful new song, Six Strings Are Hard On Diamond Rings. I really hope Taylor releases that one soon. The second set were all songs of Joe Cocker to honor the recently deceased musician. I loved Taylor's take on the Cocker songs, especially You Are So Beautiful, which he sang on the show American Idol. If you get a chance to go see Taylor don't hesitate. He not only sings beautifully, has a wonderful band, but on top of that, he is really, really funny!!

This was an accoustic show.....just Taylor and John Kulnich on guitar. They are great together and the show was a variety of music combined with Taylor's fun banter with the audience. He always meets fans after a show and signs autographs and takes photos. Taylor is a super nice guy who gives 100% plus on stage and boy, can he SING!!!
Honestly can't say enough good things about Taylor Hicks! He has an amazing talent, is extremely personable, and he just plain kills every song he sings! There's not another performer like him - don't miss his show! If you're a true music lover, you won't be able to sit still - he rocks it!
Taylor Hicks always creates an exceptional concert experience and this time was just as exceptional as the previous times we've seen him. He sang 2 new songs that will be on his new album coming out in the spring of 2017. They were wonderful!
Taylor Hicks was born an entertainer! He makes you swoon, not only to the music, but the stories too. And his band is wonderful!
My husband and I got to see Taylor Hicks in concert at the Island View Casino in Gulfport on June 7th. The concert was sold out and now I know why! Taylor is the ultimate entertainer. He brings his own style of country/soul/blues/rock to the stage. His band is tight and follows his musical changes with ease. Taylor also talks to the audience in between songs, telling amusing stories from his time on American Idol and afterwards. The set list was varied with songs from his time on American Idol as well as selections from his own albums. Then after the concert, Taylor stayed at the merchandise table signing CD's, t-shirts and posters and taking photos with fans. The line of fans waiting to meet him was very, very long!! I can't wait to see this wonderful musician in concert again!
Taylor Hicks was outstanding!! He has a great voice, but is also a good entertainer. He had the audience from start to finish. We enjoyed the small venue, but probably won't get this opportunity again. See him soon if you want this closeup experience.
Too loud for the small venue. If you go, pay attention to where the speakers are located and don't sit near them. Taylor is at his best on ballads such as his new song - Maybe you should.
Taylor was better this time than the last time i saw him, which was last month. He gets better and better. I loved it , he played the piano this time. He is sooooooooo good it hurts. (smile). His band of three members are also fantastic.
Everyone knows I am a huge Taylor fan. This was our 5th trip to Vegas to JUST SEE TAYLOR!! We attended two shows...Monday and Tuesday. Taylor puts 150% into his performance. His passion for the music is mesmerizing. Taylor sings covers, songs from AI and his own original music. He is multi-talented - singer/songwriter/musician. His harmonica playing is amazing. He has surrounded himself with fantastic musicians...Josh, Eric and Brian. A must see!!!!
Music was very loud and made it hard to hear Taylor's voice and words to songs. His soul miso was the best!
This setting at Paris Hotel and Casino is perfect for a singer/songwriter like Taylor Hicks. It is more like Beal Street in Memphis than a Las Vegas casino. The music is soulful and from the heart. Great show.
