    Steve Miller Band

by MikeandSue on 5/7/11Huntington Center - Toledo

Considering that Steve said he was sick with a cold or something I'd rate his performance an A+.....Of course like many classic rockers that have so much great material to perform he did leave you wanting to hear more songs. But he and his band were awesome. Greg Allman was a fitting and fine opening act as well.

This show will not let you down!

by Blueslover9876453 on 5/6/11North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

Fabulous show! This is the fist time I've seen either band in concert - Gregg's voice is fabulous and unforgettable! The show started on time and the turn-around between acts was only 15 minutes. Steve Miller jammed the house and the blues singer he has now rocks! Steve Miller played a full 2 hours, but I felt that drug on a bit and just provided him time to get some of his old covers in.

    Steve Miller Rocked Out!

by SandyABear on 5/4/11Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

It was sooooo rainy and cold. But, I was set to see Greg Allman, because I love Greg Allman's music and the Allman Brothers' music. What surprised me is the Steve Miller Band turned out the crowd! The crowd was totally into them. Loved that Greg started out with "I'm No Angel." No disrespect intended, but Greg Allman seems to be going through the motions of playing and didn't seem to be into it at all. I don't know if it was the weather or the cold, but I just didn't feel like he was connecting with the crowd. He forgot some words of his songs--that didn't really bother me. He did mix up the arrangement of the songs, and I appreciated that. Steve Miller, on the other hand, apologized for his cold, and proceeded to totally engage the crowd and rock out--despite the weather! The band was very playful, and I enjoyed watching one of the band members dancing--although I recognized the moves from the 80s. Steve lamented the loss of his former band member 18 months ago. But then, the band poured their hearts and souls into the music. Surprisingly, the band played some Zydeco-like music that totally fit with the vibe of the crowd.

    Shame on Lifestyle Community Pavilion

by coripc on 5/1/11Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

Two great bands. Was really looking forward to the show and a chance to see these rock icons perform, however, I was aware this was an outdoor concert but in light of the days weather, certainly they could have turned it around for the show to be indoors! Not only the crowd got soaked (making us leave early), but why risk these great musicians health (and the fans) in a rain downpour. Shame on the venue! What I was able to see was fantastic.

    Gregg and Steve

by NCINSOMNIAC on 5/1/11Koka Booth Amphitheatre At Regency Park - Cary

Gregg Allman and Steve Miller are two of my son's favorites. He is Developmentally Handicapped and we have been to about 40 concerts. Both performances were memorable. Song choices were from the old to the new. Gregg Allman choices for his back up band could not have been any better and Steve Miller's band was unbelievable as always.

    Steve Miller Greg Allman Tower

by JumpinJackF on 4/28/11Tower Theatre - Upper Darby

This was my first time to see Steve Miller. I've Greg Allman for many years in different bands. These guys are top notch performers. The performances were great but due to the smallest sound system I've ever seen at the Tower - It hurt the overall quality of the sound. I sat in the lodge/balcony. I've sat there for many shows - I know the sound could have been much much better. I think Steve Miller leaned a little bit too much on the blues. I know he digs the blues and it was the basis of his earliest music. I have been listening to Steve's music since he put Sailor out. His classics were great.
