About

Singer/actress Selena Gomez's musical career reached a new height in 2013 with her solo debut album, Stars Dance. The album sold nearly 100,000 copies during its first week out and it became her first No. 1 album before she quickly took to the road for a massive arena tour with up-and-coming pop stars Emblem3 in tow.

Stars Dance featured Gomez's biggest hit to date, "Come & Get It," which peaked at No. 6 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, outpacing the 2011 hits with her band Selena Gomez & the Scene "Who Says" and "Love You Like a Love Song," which peaked at Nos. 21 and 22, respectively.

The seasoned road warrior, who only celebrated her 21st birthday in 2013, went solo  after releasing three Gold-certified albums with the Scene between 2009 and 2011. Her musical ventures piggybacked with her careers as a fixture on The Disney Channel, and then in mainstream film.

Gomez, a native of Grand Prairie, Texas, began her path to stardom  as a one of the kids on Barney & Friends. Her film debut took place in 2003, when she had a cameo in Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. Gomez entered the Disney fold in 2006 by making guest appearances, including some with Miley Cyrus on Hannah Montana. She got her first starring TV role as the character Alex Russo on the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place.

As her acting career blossomed, Gomez embarked on a music career, signing with Disney's Hollywood Records imprint in 2008 and releasing her debut album with Selena Gomez & the Scene a year later. She released two more albums with The Scene over the next two years, both of which charted in the Top 5, before going solo.

    Bea, Charlie & Selena-great show!

    by Sally7777 on 7/12/16Honda Center - Anaheim

It was a great concert! Took my daughter for her birthday. Wished Bea had a couple more songs and wished Charlie Puth did also -- they are such talented 17 year olds! Selena was great -- puts on a good show! However we had partial view seats (not mentioned when I purchased tickets). Still considering that, it was still pretty good view. Love Selena's hair & I get the point for the fan blowing around!

Selena Gomez put on a great show. Everyone was on their feet the whole show and the opening acts were also great. It was such a fun night and I couldn't get my smile to leave my face the rest of the night!

Selena Show dissappointing - show too short

by JenniferWats on 7/12/16Honda Center - Anaheim

The show was good. But she only played a hour and 15 minutes. you can expect that sometimes from certain groups but when someone as you as Selena comes to town and you pay $100 a ticket you expect her to play at lease 1:45 to 2 hours.

The set was amazing. Music and performances were on-par with other top artists, in my opinion.

    Selena was good.

by Lilroserox on 7/9/16Xcel Energy Center - Saint Paul

It was a good concert for a group of teens. Selenas music is not over the top so it was a pretty calm concert but she did a good job. Wish she had played a song or two from her first album.

    Selena Gomez very entertaining

by bruinfamily on 7/8/16Talking Stick Resort Arena - Phoenix

Took my 12 year old daughter and her friends...think I enjoyed it more than the girls. I've been to several concerts including Madonna, Janet Jackson, Celine & Beyoncé and Selena doesn't compare to those legends but Selena is only 23 and suspect she will only get better with time. Overall enjoyable show and fun for all ages. 1st act 7:30-8...2nd act about an hour. Selena didn't come on until 9:30 and concert ended about 10:40.

    The whole concert was awesome

by MomOfTwoSelenaFans on 7/8/16Talking Stick Resort Arena - Phoenix

Bahari was very good! DNCE was excellent, they really know how to get the crowd going. Joe ran into the crowd during Cake by the Ocean. Selena was excellent. Both of my girls loved her and the concert. Would definitely see her again.

    Schlock

by Anonymous on 7/5/16Marcus Amphitheater Summerfest - Milwaukee

Manufactured & contrived with narcisstic music videos killing time. She's pleasant enough but not a lot of real music. Bahari warm up band really lame. DNCE best musicians of the bunch. Save your money...

    Selena Gomez was FUN!

by madmil on 7/4/16Marcus Amphitheater Summerfest - Milwaukee

It was a fun performance overall. The dancers were amazing as well as the props/sets that were used. Really liked how the costumes changes were addressed. My daughter (13) and I had an amazing time. It was her first concert and i was really plased. The crowd was really wonderful. Selena had some wonderful songs. The length of the concert was just right for us. We were in Section 4 and sometimes the lighting was directly in our eyes during DNCE and Bahari.

    She was amazing!

by Fanofselena on 7/3/16Marcus Amphitheater Summerfest - Milwaukee

Selena was amazing! She really connected with the audience and her background dancers was amazing too. I also got a shirt and it's really cool.

    Maybe it's a Summerfest thing

by MomofGroan on 7/3/16Marcus Amphitheater Summerfest - Milwaukee

Pre-show guests - Bahari and DNCE got the crowd pumped up. The main show was shorter than I expected. Selena Gomez sang well and her crew was awesome. However, she seemed less-than-enthusiastic to be performing. Multiple vague comments about issues going on in her life the last couple years. With so many clothing changes, concert-attendees kept sitting down to wait for the next number.

by jenndy on 7/3/16Marcus Amphitheater Summerfest - Milwaukee

Entire concert was wonderful!! Selena was sexy yet very appropriate! Beautiful clothing.. Beautiful voice . Was great fun for all ages from very young to my older crowd. The opening act were great also! DNCE really brought it to the stage! My daughter even touched Joe Jonas as he ran through the aisles and really got the crowd fired up! I will definately be seeing Selena and DNCE again! Wonderful show !

    Great show overall

by alexasmom2000 on 7/2/16Marcus Amphitheater Summerfest - Milwaukee

Summer fest was confusing to get there and park, leaving was much easier with traffic being directed. Wish I would have know the lay out of the theater would have picked the yellow seats with a back. There was a lot of graphics used which was distracting and some pictures of Selena were a little too revealing for my taste. Overall a nice first concert for my daughter. Loved that she sang some of her older songs that I even remembered hearing. Thanks for making my daughters first concert a great memory. The fees were high but ticket prices were very reasonable. Wish more singers were as low as her.

Good show, but wish you could hear performers voice more. Instrumental music too loud over singer voice

    Selena was disappointing

by Anonymous on 7/2/16Marcus Amphitheater Summerfest - Milwaukee

She was beautiful and the show was all about her body, outfits, flipping hair and beautiful face! Her voice was terrible! Her background singers did most of the singing and the music was so loud as in an attempt to cover up how off it was. Really disappointed! Love her studio music but I guess her CDs are just studio engineering! I wish she would put as much effort into developing her voice to entertain her loyal and adoring fans than she does into her body, appearance and video presentation.

    Unforgettable night!

by Anonymous1995 on 7/2/16Sprint Center - Kansas City

This concert was amazing! The first to come on stage was Bahari. They performed for about 30 minutes. In my opinion, their set was a complete snooze fest. There was absolutely no energy to them at all. Their songs sounded all the same and it all had something to do with the sun. All in all, their set was a complete waste of time. DNCE came on at 7:45 and they brought a lot more energy to the stage. They were a bit weird for my taste, especially the bassist. I'm not really a fan of them so their set didn't interest me much. I did like that Joe ran up to one of the higher sections of the arena, it was pretty entertaining. And I also liked how they played "We Are the Champions" by Queen and ran around with a trophy in hand (I'm not quite sure what that was about.) Finally, about around 8:50 Selena came on stage. The sound was LOUD, but I brought ear plugs so I was able to hear her. I thought her set was entertaining. Her entire crew (band members, dancers, backup singers) are insanely talented. Her outfits looked so cool and I liked that she had different types of themes to go with each act. My only complaints about her set was that she only sang parts of her songs. For instance, she sang Revival twice, but it was only the first verse and chorus. Same with Who Says and Nobody which are some of her best songs. Also, the sound is way too loud, I wish they could find a way to turn down the bass and let you enjoy her beautiful voice without other instruments drowning it out. Lastly, her set was only 75 minutes long. For being a headliner, I wish she'd spend more time on stage. Her set flew by way too fast. I think if she only had one opening act it would give her the opportunity to have a longer set.
