SASQUATCH! FESTIVAL:

Sasquatch! Music Festival is living up to its name in 2014, bringing the Pacific Northwest not one, but two massive holiday weekends of top-notch performances. Just as the announcement of the Labor Day lineup featuring Outkast and The National had fans feeling dizzy, the Fourth of July weekend bill topped by Soundgarden and Kraftwerk came and knocked them on their asses. Not to worry, the daze will certainly wear off in time for fans to enjoy the festival's pristine river gorge location, state-of-the-art light and sound technology, and five stages of world-class music.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Created in 2002 by Adam Zacks as a way to cater to audiences' increasingly eclectic music tastes, Sasquatch! Festival has grown to become one of the Pacific Northwest's premier summer music festivals. Featuring artists from an ever-increasing array of genres, the festival has boasted some of the biggest names in music in its 12-year existence, including Bjork, The Cure, and Nine Inch Nails. With wooded campgrounds and cleverly named stages like the Bigfoot Stage and the Yeti Stage, fans are sure to get a decidedly Pacific Northwest experience at the 2014 festival.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"This event was unforgettable. There were so many great bands and the people there were all so chill and accepting. I am definitely going again next year..."

"Sasquatch was absolutely amazing. The lineup was legendary and each artist put on a fantastic show."

"Aside from the music, the bathrooms are surprisingly clean, the food vendors at the campsite definitely palatable, and the fellow concertgoers as friendly and fun seeking as my own posse."

    Incredible experience

    by Kenziemcb33 on 5/30/18Gorge Amphitheatre - George

I don’t think I’ve ever had such a magical experience. The campgrounds were fun and well maintained, the staff worked so hard to make every step of this festival smooth and easy, and the music was unforgettable. Can’t wait for next year.

    This isn’t Sasquatch anymore

by FixtheFest on 5/29/18Gorge Amphitheatre - George

As someone who has attended Sasquatch for over a decade, I will never attend again. This is the saddest festival I’ve ever been too. It’s clear the owners and organizers don’t care about this and refuse to invest money, effort, or time into this festival anymore. From the lack of a good musical lineup (literally a snooze fest and no music for long periods) zero facilities and services, the festival grounds being torn up and ugly, electrical issues, cheap wristbands, and stages competing for sound; this has become the anti-festival. The attendees who did come tried hard to enjoy themselves, but found that they had more fun hanging out in camp versuses being in the venue. And let’s talk about camp... wtf are people paying so much for gold camping? It’s not secure, no services/amenities, just the parking lot and where’s the showers? It’s such a shame as this used to be something wonderful and could rival other festivals. But there is no coming back from these past few years. It would need to be a really kick ass lineup and modern amenities and entertainment for this festival to ever recover. But that would mean the owners would have to spend a decent amount of money and have festival planners that knew what they were doing. And clearly that isn’t going to happen.

    Amazing venue buuuut

    by Optoutside24 on 5/28/18Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Love the gorge—- and the artists were incredible. The one and only thing is that the amount of smoking is insane. For being an all ages event I would have hoped that smoking would be limited to certain areas considering not only contact highs for younger kids, but also cigarette smoke and it’s really harmful impact. We ended up having to leave early because there was literally nowhere to breathe.

So much fun! This year had a great line up. The only thing is I would recommend VIP camping!

    Good festival. Rubbish food.

by Bobbyjimbobbobob on 6/2/14Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Estimated is great, lots of fun. Dining options are the worst I've seen at any festival. Low of flavour, vegetables and variety, high on fried. Otherwise, good times.

Quatch Was Killer and Most Amazing Setting Ever!

    by Polter19 on 5/28/14Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Lineup was excellent I really enjoyed being able to see all the bands up close. The Foals and Outcast stood out for me. The venue is the best ever! and the views speak for themselves. The camping was easy with no car search and it was fun waking up to the cows. The crowd was fun, easygoing mostly from the northwest so being from California it was fun meeting people from outside my region and it was great seeing all the Canadians! I wish there were 2 concerts this year! See you all in 2015!

Cut Copy and Cloud Control were amazing. The camping part is SO FUN. It was cold, it was loud, but it was worth it. Wake up every morning and have some brews with your neighbors! Can't wait til next year!!

Great music. Horrible and overpriced food and drin

by Terriblefood on 5/28/14Gorge Amphitheatre - George

The music truly was awesome but I definitely left the festival feeling pretty hard done by with the prices and quality of the food. And $11 for a beer = people smuggling in booze..

    Been 'Squatchin!

by Swegian on 5/28/14Gorge Amphitheatre - George

The concerts are always top notch and the venue is unbeatable. I always highly recommend it. I think the Gorge could do a better job managing parking both on entry into the camp sight the night before the first day, which was pretty smooth but painfully slow. It seemed a bit unorganized. The worst was trying to leave the camp sight. There were no personnel to help move traffic along which quickly turned into everyone crowding and jockeying for position which of course made it take that much longer. The concert = GREAT, no scratch that, AMAZING.

    Sasquatch delivers!

    by RyGuy2000 on 5/28/14Gorge Amphitheatre - George

Sasquatch Festival 2014 was incredible as always. The organizers seem to upgrade the experience every year in more ways than one. The food, atmosphere, and camping were all a 10. Great vibe and mix of people from all points converge for fun and great music. Worth the drive for sure!

Sasquatch was great - Except for the Showers

by nperalta on 5/28/14Gorge Amphitheatre - George

I thought the festival overall was excellent. However, the one major issue i had with the concert was that there were not enough showers in Premiere Camping. We are paying a pretty hefty price to not be able to shower. Lines were up to 2 hours long sometimes. Also, we got there early so we can get a nice spot towards the front. We ended up in the back towards the regular camping. We bought premiere and got there early so we didn't have to be so close to regular camping and the noise. I think you should first occupy the premiere camp spots at the front so the people that get there early are not penalized.

    Best SASQUATCH! in years!!!

by Goddessmlh on 5/28/14Gorge Amphitheatre - George

This lineup was amazing, the camping rocked, there were almost no lines, and the porta-potties were cleaner than I've ever seen them. I literally tipped one of the guys cleaning them - I was that stunned. It was an awesome mix of new and older music, electronic, and comedy. There was honestly something for everyone and I found myself using the supper accessible SASQUATCH! app to schedule my time around the venue all weekend long. The only :( was the rising $$$ rate of the beers and the poorly designed posters.

First of the weather couldn't have been any better, but that is not something that can be planned. Happy that festival was only 3 days. 4 days was too many. That being said with one less day why was the price still the same if not more? The festival's acts were definitely not worth the price in past years. Seems like they had trouble getting bigger headliners. Also limiting how many people could be on a camping pass was also pretty lame. Hard to say if I will go back next year. I was somewhat disappointed this year.

    Sasquatch 2014

by Anonymous on 5/28/14Gorge Amphitheatre - George

The weather was perfect, the bands were great and campgrounds were spacious. The only problem and for the second year in a row was audio on the Bigfoot stage. Also happened at the chupacabra tent and main stage for kid cudi. The music was much louder than the vocal and you couldn't hear anything. I paid a lot of money to attend and I would expect everything to be working or it being able to be fixed especially since this was an issue last year as well. Overall the festival was enjoyable.
