Sarah McLachlan became one of most distinctive female vocalists after breaking out in the ’90s behind singles such as “Building a Mystery” and “I Will Remember You.” The Halifax, Nova Scotia native released her debut album Touch in 1988 and logged her first Hot 100-charting singles with 1994’s Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. Her 1997 effort Surfacing debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and hosted her three highest-charting Hot 100 singles: “Building a Mystery,” at No. 13, “Adia” at No. 3 and “Angel” at No. 4. The album went on to win two Grammy Awards. Surfacing also coincided with the first Lilith Fair, the wildly successful all-female touring festival co-founded and hosted by McLachlan that took place from 1997 through 1999 and became the top-grossing music festival of the late-’90s. 2003’s Afterglow marked McLachlan’s third consecutive Top 10 album, and she maintained that streak with studio albums released through 2014’s Shine On. McLachlan has won 12 JUNO Awards and in 2017 was inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

It was my first concert of hers. I did not know that she was such an accomplished guitarist! That added so much to my evening and enjoyment!
A Sarah McLachlin concert is always a transcent experience. The music, so beautiful and exquisitely crafted. The delivery, one hundred percent authentic and real. This was my third time seeing her and I go to a lot of shows. This one was pure perfection as is her new album, “Better Broken”. Don’t miss seeing her on when you have the chance.
Beautiful venue! Even though it was a little hot when we first got there but the seats were perfect from the balcony. Sarah sounded amazing! No change to her voice. It was such a nice time
Overall the show was wonderful her voice amazing the music beautiful. I get very tired of artists getting into political opinions and statements, which she did, which I think is divisive and distracting from the beauty of the moment and this potentially alienates half the audience. I believe this irrespective of political leanings
We were concerned about the quality of our seats, Limited view. No worries. Sarah McLachlan was fabulous, the sound was excellent and the Auditorium Theater was beautiful.
Great venue to see Sarah. She connected with the audience and delivered a memorable show.
Friends invited us to hear Sarah McLaughlin and generously purchased us 5th row tickets. We were not familiar with her music. She obviously has many diehard fans, and is a good person who has founded music schools, but we found her music to be utterly boring and very bland. There was a tedious sameness to her piano playing technique across all songs, which had no memorable melodies or beat. Her lyrics are apparently the draw, but we could not discern any of the sung words. We just sat politely waiting for the concert to end.
Sarah's voice is still as smooth and powerful as it ever was. She has so much personality and charm, connects well with the audience and she and her band did not disappoint. The set list was worthy, old favorites mixed with her new songs that are excellent as well. The performance was 100% awesomeness. The Masonic is a beautiful, small venue, gorgeous inside and out, with a well run staff. A beautiful evening with Sarah indeed!
I've seen Sarah 5 times, dating back to the mid 90's at the Greek, to her last tour (earlier this year) and now her new tour. She is always incredible, but my wife and I think that this was the best we've ever heard her. Spiritual, magical... all around wonderful.
I never miss a Sarah concert!!! She is beautiful inside and out! Her voice is breathtaking and her songs really resonate with me. I get a true feeling of calmness when she sings. I absolutely love her!!!
