All the other reviews hit the nail on the head. These guys are in a league all their own. It is sad that their South Pointe gig is no more and they are looking for a replacement venue. Keep checking their website for news of a new location.
The talent level of all of these musicians is phenomenal!!! If you have the chance this group is a MUST SEE !!

Exactly what I was looking for. Being a musician myself, I'm usually critical of most bands I see. But Santa Fe & The Fat City Horns are the real deal! Phenomenal musicians performing great music, with excellent vocals. The horn section is the best I've heard in a long time. They rival Tower of Power horn section in their best day. With a ticket price of a mere $10, I felt that I owed them money. I met the bass player after the show. He was great. I also complimented the sound engineer. The sound in the auditorium was fantastic. Every instrument was clearly heard, and perfect sound volume.
If you want to see and hear some of the greatest musicians that Las Vegas has to offer, Santa Fe & The Fat City Horns is your "Hidden Gem of Las Vegas." A band made up of 15 of the best players and singers in town join together every Monday night at the South Point Showroom for a 90 minute show. It doesn't get any better than this. The small admission price is well worth the investment and the drinks are very reasonable. It's not unusual for other very talented musicians to show up and jam with these guys. I think that is the highest form of flattery when other well know musicians stop by to hear these guys. If you are a big fan of horn section bands, you will absolutely be amazed by this band. Do yourself a favor and check them out.
This should be the number one show in Las Vegas. Filled with the finest musicians from all of the "name" shows, they are the best band I have ever experienced - live or otherwise. Jerry Lopez has assembled an amazing team. Don't leave Las Vegas without seeing Santa Fe & The Fat City Horns. Every Monday Night at South Point Casino. AND its only $5.00!!!!
