About

Comedian Ron "Tater Salad" White first rose to fame as the cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking funnyman from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour phenomenon, but now as a chart-topping Grammy-nominated comedian and a feature film actor, Ron White has established himself as a star in his own right. White has always been a classic storyteller. His stories relay tales from his real life, ranging from growing up in a small town in Texas to sharing stories of his daily life to becoming one of the most successful comedians in America. He has sold over 14 million albums (solo and with the Blue Collar Comedy Tour), been nominated for two Grammys, and has consistently been one of the top grossing stand up comedians on tour in America.

Ron White began performing comedy in 1986 and was quickly opening for legendary comedians Sam Kinison and Jeff Foxworthy. While eventually making the rounds as a comedy club headliner, in 2000, White was asked to join the Blue Collar Comedy Tour alongside Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy. The show toured for over three years to sold-out audiences in over 270 cities and grossed more than $35 million. In 2003, Warner Brothers filmed the show, Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie for a theatrical/TV/DVD/CD release. The film premiered as the most-watched movie in Comedy Central's history. In 2005, the video Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again was filmed and released on TV and DVD/CD.

In November of 2003, White released his breakthrough comedy CD Drunk In Public followed by his first one-hour TV comedy special They Call Me Tater Salad. The special had the highest viewership for a Sunday program in Comedy Central history. The DVD version reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. White's second one-hour special You Can't Fix Stupid aired on Comedy Central to 4.5 million viewers, making it the third largest audience in Comedy Central's history and the #1 show on primetime basic cable. The CD reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Charts and remained there for 9 consecutive weeks. This success also earned White his first Grammy nomination. Ron received his second Grammy nod for the show Blue Collar Comedy Tour - One for The Road. In June 2006, Penguin Books released Ron's first book Ron "Tater Salad" White: I Had the Right to Remain Silent...But I Didn't Have the Ability, which landed him on the New York Times Best Seller List. In 2009, Ron released his 3rd album Behavioral Problems, which reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. In 2013 Ron's 4th album, A Little Unprofessional, also reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. Never one to rest on his laurels, Ron White partnered with Netflix to release his most recent effort- the highly successful comedy special, "If You'd Quit Listening, I'd Shut Up."

As an actor, Ron White has had supporting roles in the major theatrical films Horrible Bosses and Sex and the City 2. He also had a principal role in Jayne Mansfield's Car (written/directed by Billy Bob Thornton). He was a co-Executive Producer of Bridegroom, a Linda Bloodworth-Thomason documentary, which debuted at the 2013 NYC Tribeca Film Festival and won the Audience Award. In 2016, Ron White's acting talents were showcased alongside Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, and Imogen Poots, in music-industry veteran Cameron Crowe's Showtime series, Roadies. White played road-tested tour manager Phil in a critically praised performance.

Live performances on a comedy stage remain the life-blood of Ron White, and after all these years, the fans still can't get enough. White maintains a rigid touring schedule, and plays to sold out crowds all over the country night after night. The industry also continues to take notice; in 2021, Ron White was nominated as Pollstar's Comedy Touring Artist of the Decade.

    Classic Ron White

by Julia on 4/1/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

New material, funny, quick, excellent story telling, this is an show with an adult theme. You need to check your Miss manners at the door or you will not enjoy. But if you are up for some truly funny stories and a bit of naughty mischief you will laugh till it hurts.

Ron was ok, not great, I hadn't seen him before. I didn't feel it was worth the $150 each ticket price. I liked the venue though.

    Great show

by April on 4/1/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

It was our first experience in the venue and it was fantastic, we had balcony seat and they were excellent. The restrooms were easy and fast to use. No problem on exiting the venue. The food and bars lines were long went to two different bars so we gave up. We’ve seen Ron White before so we knew he was good, but he had new material and I laugh so hard I cried so did everyone around us. Love Ron White

by Char & Bob on 4/1/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Ron White was hilarious! My husband has watched his comic performances on tv and has always wanted to see him live. So glad we finally got the opportunity to see him at The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino & Resort. There were a few times I had to catch my breath from laughing so hard. Raw and uncut at times, but it was great! We would definitely see him again. #5STARS

Ron White & Dr Chris Voth

by Rex on 4/1/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Attending the Ron White and Dr. Chris Voth show at Thunder Valley was an absolute delight! The venue itself exceeded expectations, adding to the overall experience. Dr. Voth served as the perfect warm-up act, setting the stage for the seasoned comedic storytelling of Ron White. White’s sharp wit and engaging narratives had the audience in stitches throughout the evening. I highly recommend experiencing this venue and catching a performance by White, and if you’re lucky enough to have Dr. Voth there too, it’s an added bonus

Absolutely worth it! This man has an incredible gift of levity. He loves what he does, and it shows. He certainly doesn’t need the money, he is enjoying sharing his craft. I’d see him again

He was at the casino, but didn't expect a Rated X show. He didn't have to be. He used to be clean and funny.

    Vulgar

by Cc on 3/19/24Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

I’ve seen Ron White many times. This was beyond vulgar, totally distasteful. Not even funny. I got up and left in the middle of the show if this is his last tour, good riddance.

Love Ron, but didnt care for the venue

by GITA on 3/19/24Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

Love Ron White. Sadly, he appeared exhausted, and not feeling well. I was disappointed with the room. I purchased front row seating hoping to have a good view. Im petitte, and unfortunately, my eye level was below the floor level of the stage. The front row so close to stage, I had to keep neck bent backwards, so it was very uncomfortable. The seating also uncomfortable. Folding chairs packed in a bit too close for comfort. Felt like a school cafeteria, or true to form, a hotel conference room.I had never been to a show at Talking Stick before. I know better than to buy field or pit tickets given my heights, and now Im finding front rows not always the best. live & learn. It truly depends upon the layout of the venue . I now have great appreciation for the seating at Orphium, and Acrisure Arena where we recently attended some shows. Again, love Ron White, and I hope he takes care of his well being.

    Length of show

by Pat on 3/19/24Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

I really enjoyed the show, however, was very disappointed the show was so short. I expected a longer show for the amount of money I spent on the tickets.
