ROCK OF AGES on Tour

Tenth Anniversary Tour

Book by Chris D’Arienzo

Arrangements and Orchestrations by Ethan Popp

Broadway’s Best Party is turning up the volume to ten! The ROCK OF AGES Tenth Anniversary Tour is blazing across North America!

Nominated for five Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, ROCK OF AGES captures the iconic era that was the big bad 1980s Hollywood. Know What Love Is, Feel the Noise, and Take Your Best Shot at one of the Sunset Strip’s last epic venues, a place where the legendary Stacee Jaxx returns to the stage and rock-n-roll dreamers line up to turn their fantasies into reality.

Featuring the music of hit bands such as Styx, Poison, Twisted Sister, and Whitesnake among many others, this Tenth Anniversary production features a dynamic new cast revisiting the larger than life characters and exhilarating story that turned ROCK OF AGES into a global phenomenon.

This is one for the ages that will have you singing “Here I Go Again.”

“Absurdly enjoyable! About as guilty as pleasures get!” - The New York Times

“ROCK OF AGES is the power-ballad decade in all its glory, tricked out with big perms, bigger dreams, and the kind of operatic ecstasy you read about only in bathroom stalls.” - Entertainment Weekly

“Insanely fun! Rock and comedy in perfect proportion!” - Time Out New York

    Rockn show

by Mike on 3/19/19Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

Great show. Very entertaining, you’ll find yourself singing and clapping along. Remember, this is performed by actors, not the real musicians, so it may not sound authentic, but the story works well with the lyrics. Great experience Mike

Not Your Average Stick Up Your Butt Theatre

by Mr. Reality on 3/18/19Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

I did not know what to expect from this show, but in the end I was impressed and continue to chuckle about it. The cast was great. The story was great as well. Brought back a lot of memories from the younger days. Go see it for sure. Be open minded, have fun, and take it for what it is.

    Not as good as before.

by Brian on 3/18/19Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

I have seen this show twice before. They changed some of the story line to turn a more sexual aspect to the show which was disappointing. The story line should not have been changed in my opinion. Would not recommend the show to anyone who has seen it before.

    GREAT SHOW

by yooper on 3/18/19Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

We had a great time. With the songs coming from popular rock music, everyone knew the songs and even sang along. Performance was great. We particularly enjoyed the performance of John-Michael Breen as Lonny. Actors broke 4th wall during the show in a good way and really engaged the audience. We think the audience would have sat there even longer for more of those great songs.

by A.J on 2/26/19DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Show still manages to be one of my favorites. Love the music and had a hard time not singing along. The narrator was hilarious. Singers were amazing and didn't disappoint. Hope it comes back to DPAC again.

    Amazing!

by Susan C from NC on 2/26/19DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

I saw Rock of Ages with my teenage daughter and we both LOVED it! The voices of the performers were amazing and their energy was infectious. Saw the production originally on Broadway 10 years ago and this performance was far superior. I would see this production again and again!

    Unexpectedly Great

    by R. C. on 2/26/19DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

When the show first started, I thought I was going to be really disappointed. I was hoping to really get to hear the music being played by the guitars, drums and piano (I did but the show wasn't solely built around that). I have never been big on musicals but I must say that the way they tied in the story to all the 80's rock songs was great. A must see.

    An Amazing Experience

    by K. L. on 2/26/19DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

I saw this play in New York on Broadway, and this play was just as good. The guy who played as Drew had an amazing voice, and the guy who played Stacee Jaxx was an amazing dancer. Overall, everyone did a great job!!!!

    Rock of Ages

by Linda on 2/26/19DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

The show and entire experience , as always, fabulous. I suppose they do the best they can with the parking situation. A patron must add that time to your expectations of the experience.

Not to be taken seriously. And they don’t.

by Kent on 2/26/19DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Pure entertainment. That’s all. It’s supposed to take you back to the 1980s featuring the music. But some serious themes are highlighted such as the corporate greed taking over the small businesses which is timely. But other than that don’t bring up more serious stuff like “Rent” does so it doesn’t take itself very seriously. The band and singers were right on the money which is challenging given the high keys each had to reach. I enjoyed this as pure entertainment only.
