    Great Performance!

by schrum on 2/13/15Birchmere - Alexandria

WOW! The Pat McGee Band was fabulous!! We had invited friends to go with us and they thought it was terrific! Pat opened for himself, which was great! Everyone was so relaxed.... Pat invited two young boys from the audience up on stage to play the drums with Chardy.....great idea and so much fun to watch! We thoroughly enjoyed the evening.....Pat McGee is not only a talented musician but also has such a personable on-stage presence!

The Birchmere was not the place for Pat McGee, it felt more like dinner theater. Either the place sucked the life out of the band or the band stopped being the fun loving band that we all wanted to see. At one point they played New York State of Mind, this is not the band you go to see to hear a slow cover!! We missed the old Pat McGee we used to see at Wolf Trap and stand and sing along. Here you sat in your seat and listened to covers with some of the peppy songs sprinkled in. I wish that I wouldve saved my money, had my friends over my place and but on a Pat McGee Pandora, that wouldve been way more fun!!

    Fun fun fun night

by Pattijwr on 2/10/15Birchmere - Alexandria

Thank you for wholesome, good music. Thank you for letting your audience know how much you appreciate them. When you brought the Navy Cmdr up on stage to play guitar and the 2 kids to congo drum it out, it was fun and they were having a blast.

Pat McGee Band --each show is better than the last

by EddieTheDog on 2/9/15Birchmere - Alexandria

Pat and the band continue to be incredible. Each show is better than the last. I keep thinking I've seen them at their absolute best, but then I see another show and it always goes beyond my expectations.

The Pat McGee Band still brings down the house!

by CynChap on 2/9/15Birchmere - Alexandria

I have been following Pat McGee for years and they just get better and better. I loved the Commander and guitarist from Sister Hazel getting up on stage. That was very cool. And when the band just starts jammin' and songs go on and on.... my favorite. I am never as happy as I am when I am in front of live music and this time was no different. Loved chatting with Pat, Chardy, and Al afterwords as well!!!!!

    Pat McGee was disappointing

by LCons on 2/9/15Birchmere - Alexandria

This has to be the strangest show I have ever seen. Pat McGee opened for himself?! Then the keyboardist played a few of his new songs which were very, very slow and depressing. Isn't the opener supposed to get the crowd warmed up? During the show Pat kept stopping between songs to tell depressing stories about how he played or wrote this son for a child dying of cancer or for 9/11. I came to be entertained and left depressed. What a downer. And the music he did play was mixed up and all sounded like the same song.

    Pat McGee Band Reunion Shows

    by AJW202 on 5/7/14Birchmere - Alexandria

Fantastic vocals, rich acoustic & double percussion sounds filled the Birchmere--these guys haven't lost anything in 20 years of playing together. Felt like coming home to hear their robust & resonate sounds. Love them!
