    World class show!

by Daver3 on 9/1/14Sleep Country Amphitheater (Amph at Clark County) - Ridgefield

Soundgarden was amazing. I was wondering why they were opening. Then Trent came out and blew my mind. I was expecting some gritty techno. Every song was brutal and yet strangely intimate and honest. They jammed their asses off. They really left it all on the table.

    Nine Inch Nails & Soundgarden

by SandGoddess on 9/1/14Sleep Country Amphitheater (Amph at Clark County) - Ridgefield

Opening act didn't show. Never heard of them Cold Cave? Took awhile for Soundgarden to start the show. They were good but had some sound quality problems through part of it. When NIN came on WOW. Amazing from start to finish. They sounded incredible and their light display was spectacular! Only wished they would have added one of my favs Down In It to the set. Will def see them again and again, hopefully at a different venue since it took over an hour to get out of the parking lot.

A Critter Buggin in a Garden of Sound!!

by Skipst1 on 9/1/14Sleep Country Amphitheater (Amph at Clark County) - Ridgefield

All three acts gave it their all and did not disappoint in the least. Seeing Matt Chamberlain on the big stage was the highlight for me. I figured if one Matt C had to be replaced by another Matt C, then this would be their weapon of choice. You can't deny the loose groove he's got going on behind that kit. Not even the "Reality" of some "Heathen" could kill that groove. Peace out!

The masters of the live show experience.

by Killaya on 9/1/14Sleep Country Amphitheater (Amph at Clark County) - Ridgefield

Nine inch nails will forever be one of the best live acts out there. Do not ever pass up a chance to go see them. Soundgarden was also very good. Both acts had a very strong, sunning visual aspect to their set.

NIN did not disappoint but Soundgarden did

by cell on 9/1/14Sleep Country Amphitheater (Amph at Clark County) - Ridgefield

I've seen NIN a few times and as usual they sounded great with lots of energy. Sound Engineers did a perfect job with almost no distortion. The opposite with Soundgarden. Chris Cornell can still hit all of the notes but his vocals were drownd out by horrible guitar distortion. I'm a fan of Soundgarden but it took me a few seconds to try to recognize what they were playing. I also noticed the bass player looking over at his sound guy and either pointing up or down, finally frustrated and knocking over the monitors with his feet. NIN sound crew should show the Soundgarden crew how to sound a show.

Good show and love the venue

by ghfkkiT on 9/1/14Sleep Country Amphitheater (Amph at Clark County) - Ridgefield

Both bands were excellent. We missed most of the opening act so can't review. Trent Reznor again amazes with his creativity. Incredible light/stage setup. Simply brilliant. Really impressed with the amphitheater too. Never been before but will definitely be back. The Gorge is nice but Sleep Country is the best outdoor venue I've been to. Of course leaving after the show is a problem at every outdoor venue and this was no exception. The delay getting out was not that bad though since we left during the NIN encore. It always is problematic getting out no matter where you go. But the layout and access are terrific. Really made it a great time.

    Amazing Show!!

by dudemanslinky on 9/1/14Sleep Country Amphitheater (Amph at Clark County) - Ridgefield

It can be difficult to engage a crowd in a larger venue, but both Soundgarden and NIN are amazing bands that know how to engage people with their stage presence.

Soundgarden rocked and NIN was incredible

by Tysonbelo on 8/31/14Austin360 Amphitheater - Austin

The show was awesome. The venue was incredible because it was small enough that wherever people sat they had a great view. The sound was also great: Cornell could still hit it and sounded fantastic, and NIN also sounded amazing. Soundgarden's show was more straightforward without a lot of lights or video back drops, it felt like a traditional rock show. NIN was filled with so much bass that it penetrated your insides, and in a good way. The lighting and special effects were super cool, and it was obviously well thought out, planned, and executed. It was fantastic. It was expensive, but it was worth every penny. We loved it.

    NIN is a class act!

by FurGurl on 8/31/14Verizon Wireless Amphitheater Irvine - Irvine

NIN was incredible! They played new songs from Hesitation Marks and catered to their fans by playing their classics. Trent Reznor was in prime form re-inventing himself as the genius that he is without any subtle apologies. The most entertaining rock concert I've seen by far this year! Great musicianship. This is a band that has stood the test of time. Love them!

Two of the best bands 2014

by DrumDiddy on 8/31/14Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

They may have several albums behind them but NIN and Soundgarden are still amazing. For energy, musicianship and songwriting there are few if any bands that can out rock Soundgarden. There has always been a sophisticated melding of heavy metal power, strong almost ethereal melody lines and interesting guitar work in their music. I love both bands but think the Bowl sound worked better for them than NIN. We saw NIN at the Staples center in Nov. and this was a different show. The Bowl show was a little stripped down - a stripped down NIN show is still huge and full of amazing lighting and stage effects of which Trent is the master. From our seats (Front, Section H) the sound was a bit muddy the guitar was buried. The Staples show I would describe, for lack of a better word, as warmer. For the sake of contrast I imagine he concentrated on a colder more electronic sound for the Bowl which was still great - we just preferred the Staples show.

    Soundgarden Rocked!

by HouseBuck on 8/30/14Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Great show. Wish sound garden would've performed no attention, or Ty Cobb . Nine inch nails didn't disappoint either. Parking at the bowl and getting out is a nightmare.

Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden sounded great!

by meaculpa20v on 8/30/14Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

I'm not a fan of the Shoreline Amphitheater. Actually, there are very few acts that would even get me to consider going to a show there. Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden is one of them. I had never seen Soundgarden play before. I had high expectations and they were met. Chris Cornell was on top of it and the band rocked it. Although, I must say his voice a little shot for Black Hole Sun. This was my second time seeing NIN. They were great. Awesome stage presence and sound. Trent Reznor was his usual cool self.

Trent Reznor is a rock and roll god!

by 911Chief on 8/30/14Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Wheatland - Wheatland

I had a friend that went to the NIN/Soundgarden show at Soreline in Mt View days before. He said NIN was great, but Soundgarden "sucked". At our show, Soundgarden was very good; tight, great song selection and Chris Cornell still has a great voice. But then NIN came on and I understood why my friend said what he said. NIN was breathlessly great; superb playing, tight sets, fantastic stage settings and high energy. Soundgarden, though good, isn't even in the same league. Trent Reznor is at the height of his career. Instead if bring pigeon-holed as a Nineties act, he keeps writing great songs and has a boundless enthusiasm for performing. Some acts just do it for the money or just to keep trotting out old favorites to fans, but NIN wants to grab you by the throat and throw you into their world for an experience you don't get with any other act. Thanks, Trent!
