The new ticket text really made it a breeze to enter.
Exciting to see so many talented volleyball girls play in 2 matches!
Im not really a volleyball fan, but I had an assignment to follow the games. I enjoyed myself and can appreciate the crowd atmosphere rise each round of the tournament.
Went to game with daughter, a 3 year varsity starter HS volleyball, and my younger son. Seats were general admission, however we were able to find good seats nearly mid-court. As an OSU alumnus were definitely excited and proud of our Buckeyes. Only downside was concessions, which constantly had long lines through the entire game. I was able to purchase kettle corn from a separate vendor, but not willing to wait 20+ minutes in line. OTW would have been 5 stars.
The NCAA men's volleyball finals at St. John Arena in Columbus Ohio was amazing. The crowd was over 8000 people and the excitement didn't stop the entire time. St. John's Arena is an old arena but it holds nearly 13,000 people so there was plenty of room and The sightlines were great from where ever you sat.
8k+ people to see men's volleyball in St. Johns has never happened before! Watching our amazing team defend its championship on home turf was amazing!! Unbelievable energy. On a negative note, for the finals, there was a bit of mixup with student tickets which is suppose to let you sit in the bleachers. We were told to get them at the booth, and then they told us we had to wait for someone else, and then we got 'General Admission' tickets and they wouldn't let us into the bleachers. After a bit they finally let us in.
What a bonus that Nebraska was in the final 4 let alone being CHAMPIONS. Staff was very polite and helpful. The food vendors were not prepared to the full house. Not enough food and stood in line for a very long time for inflated prices of food. I will think twice about eating at the Centurylink again. Otherwise a great venue.
Awesome atmosphere! Awesome games! Would definitely recommend it.
Overall, a very good experience. Tough parking the first night, but much better the second night.
