I have seen Marc three times at The Birchmere and it’s always a great show. We drive 2 hours each way for it. This time I took my 9-year-old daughter (Delilah), and she had a life changing experience.
My daughter had never attended a concert, but I noticed that as I listened to his music around the house, she had started singing along. Since I know his show is great I wanted to give her that experience.
We ended up sitting close and my daughter was in the front row. Marc noticed her, and gave her the lyric sheets to his parody (Walking in Staten). Then, a few songs later she asked him to sign them (we did not prompt her), he said he'd love to, and an audience member gave him a pen.
As if that wasn't enough, he dedicated his last song to her, which was The Things We've Handed Down. It brought tears to the eyes of everyone at our table.
Thank you so much Mr. Cohn.
