Tons of fun, but could have done without Kanye

by Lvrebelgirl on 10/28/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The festival was better organized this year. Getting in and out was really quick and there wasn't the same problem with overflowing trash cans as last year. There were a ton of good options all over the festival grounds too, which was great. There were some great bands to see. Foo Fighters were amazing! I wish there had been a different headliner for Friday night. I had no interest in Kanye and Panis at the Disco were okay but more of an 8pm band. There were a little too many DJ's for my liking, but still plenty of variety. My friends and I will be back for sure!

    Bombs over Vegas!

by Birdie3434 on 10/28/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Awesome festival, everything started on time and ended on time (unfortunately). Was excited for The Roots, G Eazy and DJ Mustard. They didn't let me down. Was plesentaly suprised by Lionel Richie. He did his thing. But let's be honest. Outkast shut it down! Can't wait for 2015.

Festival as okay overall. Wish marijuana was not allowed as it may have been a bit more enjoyable. It would be nice to have cheaper food and alcohol.

    Amazing Event

by Ljflagrl on 10/28/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

From out of town - first time I had been 'off the strip'. What a great way to see a very cool part of Vegas. Loved the energy, food, and music.

    Panic, Lionel or Foo

by EVYR on 10/27/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

This was my first LIB and it won't be my last. I had the best time ever. I bought tickets for my daughters birthday last year but she took a friend. This year I said no way, I'm going with you (she's 20) Since we enjoy mostly the same music our schedules were almost identical. The impressive vocals of Brenden Urie front man of Panic at the Disco made me want the show to continue all night. Not to mention the not one but two back flips (and no shirt). Dave Grohl, need I say more. This was the first time I had seen the Foo Fighters and their performance was so energetic I forgot how exhausted I was. Amazing, that describes it. Each band completely impressed me but I would have to say the biggest surprise was the popularity of Lionel Richie. Who'd a thought. Ironically I knew the words to almost every song. Can't wait for next year and hopefully it will include more of our local Las Vegas bands.

    Had a great time

by Anonymous on 10/27/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Myself and my boyfriend had an amazing time! I would love to come back next year. Line up was awesome! Outkast was favorite. I feel that there was a great mixture of different types of music. An idea is one stage should be all hip hop/rap/ r&b, another just country artists, a stage with old school music/soul, a dj stage, and alternative/rock. But great line up. 1 complain I would say is the food. Not a great selection at all or in drinks, especially the beer. There are so any breweries such as in California that I know would go.

    OMG THE WEEKND

by Sacaballerrrrrr on 10/27/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

It was one of the best nights of my life. Drinks are RIDICULOUSLY PRICEY, so I suggest you pregame. Awesome festival/venue though.

It was a very good alternative concert!!! All the bands were awesome. ...... I am an alternative junkie so as far as the hip-hop(kanye) and whatever Lionel Richie is considered to be... maybe you guys can do with out them next year and bring the Black Keys.... and other alternatives bands.

The event seemed well organized. Things pretty much ran on time. I like that they offered recycling. It would be awesome if next time they added composting. I also think it would make more sense to have more headliners Friday and Saturday, and less Sunday night since people have to work.

    Best festival I've been to!

by veeRob on 10/27/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I'm not a huge fan of festivals, mostly because there's not enough smaller bands I want to see in one place, and people are there more for the experience and not the music. Life Is Beautiful somehow managed to bring in with a good lineup, and I ended up enjoying the festival experience as much as I did the music. Very diverse line-up, and an amazing line-up of food items. Local businesses were represented, and nothing seemed to expensive for the quality you were getting. The layout was a little weird, but it was like learning a new town and knowing the shortcuts. Can't wait to go back next year!

    Keep This Fest AWESOME

by jennyspaceman on 10/27/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

LIB is by far my favorite festival. it is a small festival, and that's what makes it so awesome. there are no long crazy lines, every one is friendly and fun. never even a wait for the port-a-potties. the fest footprint was a little trickier to navigate this year, but still is great because the whole place is so small, and FLAT. no mile long hikes, or awful hills. besides the alcohol being triple over price, i feel like it is VERY worth the money and the time. we stayed at the El Cortez which over looks the fest, and the room was dirt cheap! great bands, easy to get close or stay back in the crowd. also nice that there are lots of little freebies, like getting flash tattoos, free water refills etc. KEEP it Beautiful and affordable!

    Some great highlights, but...

by FlewfromCali on 10/27/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The festival was fun, lots of art to look at and good music. Food tasting was fun though expensive (as much as I'd normally pay for a full lunch for about half a plate). I was bummed that the lineup was released so late and so many bands I wanted to see played on Friday instead of on the weekend. It was very loud (recommend bringing ear buds if you want to stand closer than 100 yards from the stage). There were also a LOT of smokers wandering around that didn't mind blowing smoke right in your face while standing in the crowd during the shows. This might not bother a lot of people, but it's hard to move when in the middle of a crowd and I didn't appreciate that. Overall, it was fun, and probably worth it if you can go all three days, but I likely wouldn't go again.

    It was awesome!!!

by Momoochies on 10/27/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Such an amazing experience! I took my daughter and her cousins (15 yrs old), they were so excited. They were able to get up close to the stage and got playlists and drum sticks; they even met and took pictures with Priory at the hotel before breakfast. Brandon and Kyle were so nice, the girls are still talking about it! I love that they loved the whole experience! It was beautiful! Downside: need more shade and sitting areas (for the moms in the back). And maybe sell some coke or Pepsi products for the non-drinkers...that is all.

Life is Beautiful hands one of the best festivals!

by cbitz on 10/27/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Clean bathrooms, no lines, tons of interactive fun, lots of 21+ space to lounge and get away, great music, great food, and by far the best art at any festival in the US.
