Happiest group of event goers ever seen

by TheOnlyJenYoung on 10/29/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Life is Beautiful was created with the actual fan in mind. It was so well executed, mapped, booked and full of love. Every area was filled with content that was purposefully met with the right vendor. The music was well booked and the layering of start times allowed the attendees to see all of the bands, even if close to the same start times. I have never seen more happy people in three days, every day, all day (as I was there for the duration entertaining clients) we saw pure happiness in nearly every face. This festival is beautiful. xx jen

Go with the people you love. Book a room. Have a blast. Get a lay of the land. Do your research before. What kind of food do you want to try. Where the art is. When and where are your favorite bands.

Aside from some of the people, the festival itself was pretty cool. First time there, went for the Foo Fighters. They put on one hell of a show!

Foo Fighters were epic! They are the only reason why we went. The rest of the festival that we experienced was kind of boring, too spread out, confusing to get around, and dirty. We didn't like any of the other acts that day, so spending $108 just to see FF was lame. But they are my husbands favorite band so what could we do. The bar we did want to sit and drink at was just outside of one of the festival exits and security wouldn't let us go in and out from this exit without some other kind of special wrist band? I was pissed. There are SO many other places this event could have been held, like the speed way, where it's easier to get in and out of and everything could have been in one place. Having it downtown was a cluster. Parking was a cluster. During the show, what sucked is there was a huge delay from what the singers were singing and playing to what was being videoed and shown up on the big screens. When the show was over, all the smaller exits wouldn't let people exit any longer...they made everyone exit through one corridor on Fremont when there were plenty of other staffed exits closer to the stage. There weren't a lot of vendors for anything other than food. And I felt like there could have been more "activities" to do. More rides, etc.... I am a regular when it comes to seeing live music and going to festivals. I have traveled all over the USA following bands, and LIB was super disappointing. Sorry but it's the truth. Even if we hadn't paid $247.00 for the two of us to see FF, I'd still be saying all the other things I mentioned.

    Beautiful Event

by onesexygoat on 10/28/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Well planned organized event. No beer gardens or closed off areas where alcohol was served. Instead treated like adults and able to purchase beer, wine or mixed drinks and bring right to the stage. The headline acts were incredible especially the last night with Foo Fighters. No more Coachella for me and my friends. We will spend our hard earned money on Life is Beautiful again next year.

    LIB awesome fest!

by dfhno6 on 10/28/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

What a great festival! Last year was wonderful, this year even better. The weather was perfect, the layout was fine though a bit compressed compared to last year, and the crowd was just as chill as before. The number of attendees seemed significantly less the first day this year, but on Saturday and Sunday evenings I thought the crowd was about the same size as last year (maybe 25-30 thousand). And, unlike Coachella, the LIB crowd didn’t drop garbage everywhere. Like, maybe 1 percent of the crap left on the ground and picnic tables compared to Coachella. That's refreshing Once again, entry was a breeze, with friendly and non-invasive security. Food and drink were even better than last year’s good selection, though some shade at the picnic tables would have been nice (my only quibble). Music’s the main thing for a music fest, though, and on that count LIB did not disappoint. Music was good to great from every act we checked out – and we checked out a bunch, starting early every day and staying till the end, including the Fitz & the Tantrums after-party Friday night. The Flaming Lips were the highlight for me, and Phantogram, Tycho, Alt-J, and Broken Bells were up there, too. No sound issues at any stage this time (Huntridge was a problem last year). Hope they made enough on ticket sales to keep this thing going cuz this really is a top-notch fest.

    Loved Arctic Monkeys!

by monkey5000 on 10/28/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

loved every act I saw except Panic at the Disco. The sound was so loud and so distorted that it was painful. I can only assume that this was designed to cover up how bad they sounded...

    Freaking Foo Fighter!

by Anonymous on 10/28/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I had a blast at this event. It was my second year going. I loved the improvements they made with the whole layout and flow of the event as well as the timings of the bands from one stage to the next. I liked how the stages felt closer to each other which made it significantly easier to get from one to the other. I was able to enjoy a whole variety of bands and get around easily. I really appreciated yet again the clean and abundant restroom stations. Being a girl it was much appreciated going into one of the porta potties and it was clean and full of toilet paper. The bands this year were absolutely amazing just like last year. Every band put on a stellar show and Foo Fighters killed it as the closing band. I loved the beer garden area. Some amazing beers and delcious food booths and trucks. Thanks again for putting on a stinking kick ass event. I can not wait for what you got in store for us next year!!

    The Roots, LIONEL! and OUTKAST!!!!!!!!!

by LanaMar on 10/28/14Downtown Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The roots were great. Lionel was AMAZING - a true LEGEND, and he did not disappoint!!!! He is the whole reason I found this event in the first place. I wanted to see him and found him in this lineup. But Outkast? OMG Outkast BROUGHT IT. The show from start to finish was epic. I loved the sound, lighting and set design for Outkast as well as the confetti at the end. The best part about it was that the energy of the crowd was phenomenal. I am so glad I got to be there! LIB Event feedback- Yes, the VIP bathrooms were probably better than GA (but I don't know because I was in VIP the whole time) and yes, we had a fancy bar with the opportunity to buy $20.00 drinks (are you serious?!) But the VIP area was off to the side when it should have been the first 20 feet in the center of the stage. Come on now. And there should be seats for VIP. My feet were KILLING ME and actually still hurt. You should have two waves of headliners...one in the day and one in the night. This way it would make people stay all day long instead of just show up for the headliner. This is provided that you provide chairs for VIP. I Dont think my feet could have stood any longer than three shows in a row. Also, you should have drink and food runners. Once we copped our spot as close up as possible, we couldnt leave to go to the bathroom or buy food or drinks because other people would squeeze in. It ended up to be quite uncomfortable...
