Chart-topping singer Jesse McCartney released his solo debut, Beautiful Soul, in 2004. An infectious mix of rock, pop and R&B, the album was an international hit, earning McCartney an American Music Award nomination for Best New Artist, an MTV Award nomination for Best Pop Video and three Teen Choice Awards. The singer began his career at an early age, making his Broadway debut in The King and I when he was only 10 and later singing in the Grammy-nominated kids group Sugar Beats and the platinum-selling band Dream Street. In summer 2006, McCartney released Right Where You Want Me, the highly anticipated follow-up to Beautiful Soul. The album, co-written by McCartney, ranges from soulful R&B ("Just Go") to high-energy rock ("Blow Your Mind"). McCartney has also had a successful acting career, appearing on the hit TV shows Summerland and All My Children and the forthcoming film Keith.
