    Fabulous venue, wonderful performance

by Blues Guy on 7/20/22Neptune Theatre - Seattle

The Neptune Theater is a fantastic small venue with excellent staff. Jesse Colin Young put on a fun and entertaining show, at nearly 80 his voice isn't what it was 50 years ago; but then what is? He sounded fine and his playing was tight, performing 11 of his songs, two covers and his daughter Jazzie did a vocal assist on a few and did her own three song set, including a pair off her new EP. Young played many of his most popular songs and one off his most recent release "Dreamers." I liked the way he deconstructed his songs so that he could perform them solo-acoustic.

Loved the show, at 81 the man can still play great!

by Jimmy on 7/18/22Neptune Theatre - Seattle

The show was great. The venue, Neptune Theater not so much. We were in row E on the floor and the chairs we so close together it was hard to get through. I took a spill in the process and carry a large bruse for my trouble. I would proboblt not go there again.

    Great venue for acoustical concert

by Carol on 7/16/22Neptune Theatre - Seattle

Small intimate venue for a great acoustical concert. Although in his 80s Jesse Colin Young gave a great concert mixing in all of his favorite songs. He brought the concert goers to their feet with his encore of John Lennon's Imagine.

Jesse is a natural entertainer. It was nice to see the closeness and love between him and his daughter Jazzie.

Jesse Colin Young at Ludlow Garage

by Kygoodmix on 7/11/18Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

I had not been to a show at Ludlow Garage since 1971. This is a nice intimate seated venue. Most of the crowd was respectful, except the folks talking on the front row, who received bad looks from the band. Sound mix good, but I couldn't hear backup singers. Jesse's vocals not as rich as they were, but he can still hold a note. Band sounded great. Ridgetop, Ride the Wind, Darkness Darkness, Get Together. Good show.

    Jesse Colin Young going strong

by NYCBob on 10/18/17B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

Jesse Colin Young, his guitar and his voice were in top shape on his first set which he took solo. Memorable songs and just a voice that doesn't age. Truly an outstanding set. Then his new band of recent Berklee Music grads that includes his son on bass took the stage with him for the second hour. Walking down memory lane with many of his signature songs, Jesse and the band left the audience speechless at the musicianship and quality of the performance. Each band member was featured and there was not a weak link in the group. The lead guitarist was exceptional and has a long future in music. From Marvin Gaye to Darkness, Darkness it was one musical wonder after another. Truly a magical evening. So glad Jesse came out of retirement to do this.
