About

Jay Pharoah returned to Studio 8H for his second season on Saturday Night Live. Pharoah is most known for his wide array of uncanny celebrity impressions including Will Smith, Eddie Murphy, Denzel Washington and Kanye West. Pharoah developed his comedy skills at a young age in local comedy clubs. He went on to tour in the UK, the US, and Montreal, and participated in the sketch comedy series, "Charlie Murphy's Crash Comedy." Pharoah previously performed stand-up on BET's "One Mic Stand" and was the star of the 2010 BET Awards short, "The Package." He can soon be seen alongside Greta Gerwig, Bill Pullman, and Debra Winger in Fox Searchlight's upcoming feature "Lola Versus."
Originally from Virginia, Pharoah currently resides in New York City.

    Haven’t laughed that hard in a very long time. Absolutely love how Jay included members from the audience into his skit, especially the two ladies that came late and when someone tried to heckle him he handled it like a true professional in a humorous way. Would definitely travel out of town to see him again!

    Aj Foster, who opened the event, was very good! Jay Pharoah was above expectations!! Was an amazing time!! Great laughs!! Can't wait to see him do many more great things!

    Excellent Comedian

    Show started on time. Warm up acts were good. Jay Pharoah is a very talented impressionist and comedian. Some of his material was excellent, other parts not as much. A lot of comedians fall back on sexual jokes to get laughs.

    Jay always puts on a great show. It’s non stop laughing. His impressions are spot on. I always get tickets to see him when he comes around my area. He is one on the best comedians out there.

    He is so funny I never laugh so hard in my life, at one point I was laughing and clapping at the same, my wife was laughing so hard her back and her stomach hurt And his impressions was spot on.

    The seating was a little tight at the Wilbur, but that is to be expected depending on how much you paid for your space. Service was great and the security was polite and professional. As for the performances, Jay Pharoah did a great overall job while covering the latest topics and keeping the energy high during the entire performance. In addition, the two openers did a nice job getting the crowd ready for the main event. Overall, I can't wait for Jay to come back to Boston. Worth every penny!
