by MC on 8/8/23We were taken on the most mystical magical rhythmical radical ride with Jason Mraz and his superband. I’m continuously amazed by the positivity he brings in his shows and the consistency in his voice. Pure joy!

Jason Mraz left his Virginia hometown right after high school and struck out for New York City to find his fame and fortune. Honing his skills by busking on the streets in the Big Apple, Jason decided that perhaps this line of work could be performed in a nicer climate. Next stop: San Diego, and soon Jason moved from the outdoor beachside stages to inside a local hot spot called Java Joe's. It was there he met percussionist/vocalist Toca Rivera and the two made a name for themselves all along the California coast. He released his own CD, Jason Mraz: Live and Acoustic 2001, which got the attention of all the major record labels.
His first release on Elektra, Waiting For My Rocket To Come, was released in November 2002. The album sold platinum and included the hit single "The Remedy (I Won't Wait)". That success led to Jason's second release, this time on sister label Atlantic, the Grammy-nominated Mr. A-Z, which debuted at #5 on the charts, and featured the hit single "Wordplay".
For his all-important third album, Jason traveled to England to work with producer Martin Terefe, best known for his work with Coldplay and James Morrison (who guests on the intricate Details in the Fabric). The result is We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. which garnered three Grammy nominations - Song of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, both for "I'm Yours", and Best Engineered Album. "I'm Yours", the first single from the album, holds the distinction of being the only song to ever top the radio airplay charts in the U.S. in all four major formats - Top 40, Adult Alternative, Adult Contemporary and Hot Adult Contemporary. The second single from the album is "Lucky", a duet with platinum singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat.
In his spare time, Jason is an avid photographer in the unlikely realm of Polaroids. A book of 50 of his unretouched and non-photoshopped photos entitled "a thousand things" was released in October 2008 and has spread the word about this multi-talented artist to the world of galleries and bookstores. Jason is the consummate musical and visual artist of the new century.

Jason Mraz never disappoints! I never miss a show when he comes to town….7 shows and counting! Amazing artist, musician and band!
Ticket process was super easy having everything on the phone. The venue is perfect--smaller and more intimate which made it more fun and lots to do in the area. Jason was incredible and puts on such a fun show. All around fabulous experience!!
Concert #4 with Jason and his amazingly talented team. We've been fans for years and every concert gets better. From the music, the harmonies, choreography and the overall vibe of the concert. We'll keep coming as long as he keeps touring.
This show was full of good vibes, great music and so much positivity! Jason and his super band are incredibly talented and I am so glad that I got to be a part of this experience. If you want to go to a concert and dance, Jason’s show is the perfect opportunity.
Jason Mraz and his band were amazing! Just a one night event among a long string of tour dates and they really gave it their all. This was a birthday present for my daughter and her first concert. A great experience for both of us!
This was my first secular concert and I LOVED it! Jason Mraz's music is so positive and inspiring I can't get enough! He has helped me have a more positive outlook on life for the first time ever! Can't wait until he comes back to Raleigh.
Jason Mraz put on a great show at the Red Hat Amphitheater. Great place to see a concert.
As always Jason Mraz and his Superband where amazing!! My wife and I had so much fun that we didn't want the concert to end. The venue was great and the audience barely sit down because we spent all off the night dancing and signing every one of his songs. This is our 6th Jason Mraz concert in the last 9 years and I got to say that he always make them better and better.
It was a really nice and fun concert to watch. The band is really impressive. Kudos to all artists.
Even after all these years Jason and his band provided an unbelievable performance that was packed full of amazing music, positive messages and overall enlightening experience! I also really enjoyed his opening acts 9Theory (great beats!) and Monica Martin (Super cool voice!).
I closely followed Jason Mraz 20 years and had forgotten how good he really is. Heconnected with tje audience giving life tips and explaining his lyrics and his songs origens. 5000 happy people singing along at Red Hat Amphitheater.
Absolutely AMAZING!! We got upgraded to the 8th row and I was just in AWE. This was my 3rd time seeing him in Raleigh and this is up there with his acoustic show he did in 2017. He put on the best show and we had a blast! Even my husband (who likes Jason Mraz, but isn't a super fan like me) said he would put it in his TOP 3 concerts - right along aside Garth Brooks and Ed Sheeran! Such a great show.
I absolutely loved the Jason Mraz show and would go to another one sometime in the future. Jason Mraz and his superband put on the best show I've seen for this genre of music and I LOVED IT. my little sister had not been to a concert she liked yet and went with me to this one and loved it.
This is my second time going to Jason's live concert in Raleigh (third, when including a live streamed concert during the pandemic) and I always leave feeling more positive and hopeful and grateful. His music itself will do that, but seeing him perform live and the addition of the superband was an amazing experience!
This was an awesome experience! From the beautiful night to the magnificent sounds of the band to the amazing voice, and positive lyrics of Jason Mraz! I recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Jason and his band were superb. Great positive vibe, high energy, and extraordinary musical capability. The warm-up acts were amazingly bad for someone of Jason's caliber. 9Theory was the equivalent of a DJ. Monica Martin had a beautiful voice but Prozac songs. Waiting two hours through the boring pre-acts was painful.
Our first concert at TCU. The facility was amazing. Everything was clean, the staff friendly, and getting in and out was a breeze. Jason Mraz put on an amazing show. 10 out of 10 will go again.
Better than last tour, expanded band, and a good selection of new album and prior music
The venue was very nice, very clean and very organized! Jason's show was absolutely a stunning performance!
