Jason Mraz left his Virginia hometown right after high school and struck out for New York City to find his fame and fortune. Honing his skills by busking on the streets in the Big Apple, Jason decided that perhaps this line of work could be performed in a nicer climate. Next stop: San Diego, and soon Jason moved from the outdoor beachside stages to inside a local hot spot called Java Joe's. It was there he met percussionist/vocalist Toca Rivera and the two made a name for themselves all along the California coast. He released his own CD, Jason Mraz: Live and Acoustic 2001, which got the attention of all the major record labels.
His first release on Elektra, Waiting For My Rocket To Come, was released in November 2002. The album sold platinum and included the hit single "The Remedy (I Won't Wait)". That success led to Jason's second release, this time on sister label Atlantic, the Grammy-nominated Mr. A-Z, which debuted at #5 on the charts, and featured the hit single "Wordplay".
For his all-important third album, Jason traveled to England to work with producer Martin Terefe, best known for his work with Coldplay and James Morrison (who guests on the intricate Details in the Fabric). The result is We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. which garnered three Grammy nominations - Song of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, both for "I'm Yours", and Best Engineered Album. "I'm Yours", the first single from the album, holds the distinction of being the only song to ever top the radio airplay charts in the U.S. in all four major formats - Top 40, Adult Alternative, Adult Contemporary and Hot Adult Contemporary. The second single from the album is "Lucky", a duet with platinum singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat.
In his spare time, Jason is an avid photographer in the unlikely realm of Polaroids. A book of 50 of his unretouched and non-photoshopped photos entitled "a thousand things" was released in October 2008 and has spread the word about this multi-talented artist to the world of galleries and bookstores. Jason is the consummate musical and visual artist of the new century.

Jason Mraz was amazing! Such a showman. Unfortunately, some people just have no sense of common courtesy. A bunch of people just stood in the aisle blocking everyone’s view. When the usher comes over to check their tickets, they start scattering. If only they had an open area in the front where people can stand and dance all they want and not have to block other peoples view.
Super upbeat concert. Great vocals and dancing all night
in 90 degree heat outdoors in boca, Mraz belted out tunes for 2 1/2 hours! awesome show. don't leave early, the encore was epic.
The show was fantastic! Jason and his musicians never disappoint. I will say that the sound engineering was a tiny bit off. There were times when I couldn't here his acoustic even though he was the only one playing and solos were a little late to be turned up. But that could be a venue issue.
His voice is so beautiful to hear live. The musicians are phenomenal. The talent is palpable. The vibe was joyous 🫶🏼
Great show! Fun, emotional, great vibe, super talented band and great music from beginning to end.
A fantastic performer sharing his joy, musicality, positivity and passion for his craft. Surrounded by a group of talented musicians creating an event that invites the audience to Dance the night away. Can’t wait to see him again and again.
Jason was an amazing performer! I had such a great time. Very talented. I cannot wait to see him again .
Jason Mraz was amazing! He had so much positive energy from the first song all the way to the very end. It was a fantastic show, even in the crazy Georgia humidity!!
Jason Mraz's music just makes you feel good! He is such a good performer and the music lifts you up. It is a nice escape for everything that is happening out there to have an artist that is there to simply make a great experience for everyone. Chastain is an awesome venue for this type of show (any show really, but this one in particular!). Would definitely try to see him again next time he comes through.
So much fun! He is infectious! We loved him and will definitely see him again!
Always been a fan of Jason. So glad to see him live. Beautiful voice, wonderful message. Kids and family friendly. Great band.
I’m a fan and have seen Jason Mraz a couple times now. This show was good but not as impressive as other shows I’ve seen from him. Still had a great time.
Incredible, incredible, incredible! A spectacular evening of live entertainment with the fantastic storyteller Jason Mraz and his incredible band. Raising Jane was spectacular. An experience I will always remember! So much love and joy! Everyone should go and experience this special man and his musical team. Thank you Jason Mraz and team!!
Jason's voice is just so so so great to listen live, and him and the band brought one of the best live band shows over the years. I have seen his concert 3 times and it's always such a crowd pleaser
I had a fun night. It has always been a dream to play musical instruments but wasn’t able to learn them and so i get to enjoy people playing them. I really love the band, Jason and the lyrics of his songs. I also love how he change the rendition of some of his classics 🤍 Thank you Jason and band!
Jason was great, with some of his older stuff was played but overall it was a great show. The venue was great as well
It was so amazing to see the way that Jason and his band collaborated with Raining Jane and the Texas Horn guys. It's not something that I was expecting and I absolutely loved those ladies and the way they supported Jason's show. I was so happy with the show that I'd immediately have gone to another one of it had been possible. Worth every penny.
Jason Mraz and the superband were amazing. Longtime JM fan and I’ve seen him solo, with Toca, with Raining Jane and now with the whole gang. The Grooveline Horns and Molly Miller added a whole extra layer. We sang, we danced—it was unforgettable!
