About

IF/THEN is a contemporary new musical that follows two distinct storylines in the life of Elizabeth, a city planner who moves back to New York to restart her life in this city of infinite possibilities. When her carefully designed plans collide with the whims of fate, Elizabeth’s life splits into two parallel paths. IF/THEN follows both stories simultaneously as this modern woman faces the intersection of choice and chance.

IF/THEN is recommended for ages 12 and up for strong language and adult themes. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the theatre.
Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain time. The performance begins promptly at the time noted on your ticket.  Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of management.

    Wonderful!!

by jake44 on 4/26/16Richard Rodgers Theatre - New York

At first we were disappointed that Idina Menzel was not performing tonight, however her replacement was fantastic and kept us all captivated. The unusual concept took a little getting used to but once you were on for the ride it was a wonderful trip. Very entertaining!

    If/Then was FANTASTIC!!

by DramaMamaZ on 9/19/15Richard Rodgers Theatre - New York

We were overwhelmed by this great story and wonderful production. The entire cast was amazing. I brought my daughter there to see her idol, Idina. But we fell in love with the whole cast. Thank you all or all you do. My budding actress was inspired and entertained.

    It's all about Idina

by eeeema on 6/29/15Richard Rodgers Theatre - New York

Loved hearing Idina and the cast sing for two hours. The story is a little confusing sometimes – are we in the present, past or future; is this Beth or Liz talking? But overall loved it all – sets, dialogue and SINGING. If Idina was not starring I would not have enjoyed it as much.

    If/Then was mind-blowing!

by Anonymous on 4/11/15Richard Rodgers Theatre - New York

If/Then is easily the best show I have seen on Broadway, to date. Idina Menzel blew my mind. Her voice is stunning. The show seemed so, real, so unrehearsed. It all seemed to flow so naturally. Anthony Rapp was incredible, as well. The two of them together in a show is just - fabulous. I love seeing the two of them on stage together. I wish I had been able to see it more than once. My eyes did not leave the stage, not even for a minute! Overall, If/Then was phenomenal.

2nd favorite Broadway show all time!

by Tarheelalum97 on 4/2/15Richard Rodgers Theatre - New York

Some might find it rude to put it's second, but I'm an all time Wicked fan. However I have flown to NYC twice purposely to see If/Then. Idina was spot on perfect pitch. She belted the finale and gave me chills. Fantastic show idea, great music, great actors. The whole cast was fabulous! LaChanze can blow a roof off with her voice. Kudos to Kitt/Yorkey. It's closed in NYC now but will be on national tour. Should it come to a town near you GO SEE IT!! ;)

    Love it!

Amazing story about the what ifs in life. It shows us that no matter what decisions we make in life what happens in the end is meant to be.

    Great story, great cast!

by snobbikins on 3/27/15Richard Rodgers Theatre - New York

I was so happy to catch If/Then before it closed- I love Idina Menzel!! The entire cast was amazing! I had a little bit of trouble following along with the 2 different plot lines in the beginning of the show, but it became much more clear in the second half. I think my seats had something to do with it. This theater is on the small, cramped side. The seats are small with almost no leg room and you are practically sitting on top of the person next to you. I thought with a center seat, I'd have a decent view. Not so when you have tall people sitting in front of you. I, along with others, spent a lot of time craning our necks to see around the people in front of us. After 2 1/2 hours, my knees were SHOT!!! Exiting the theater was tedious as well- definitely not set up well to handle large crowds...

Good, but for other reasons than you'd think.

by OdetoBroadway on 3/27/15Richard Rodgers Theatre - New York

I attended this show not because I heard rave reviews by other attendees, but because I met one of the leads during my spring travel. This attendance was in support of her, plus the bonus of seeing Idina and Anthony live, I was sold. And I had a discount through Facebook - double bonus. LaChaze - amazing! Gorgeous voice. Great actor. Jenn - wonderfully natural and powerful voice. Leads and supporting members were well cast. The premise of show was quite meaningful for where I am in life so having the key messages shared in a venue/creative way was a good experience for me. "Love While You Can" triggered good tears. Overall the musical was good, it wasn't amazing but it was well produced.
