Good storyline. Great musicians. But not the experience that I was hoping for. My date and I are approaching 50. I think we were 20-35 years younger than the average attendee....would be nice to draw "younger" crowd.
Because this was a holiday show, Santa made an appearance...this part brought some humor to the show.
The Holiday Spectacular by the Hershey was Spectacular-musical pieces were a variety and well done. It was truly entertaining and I will not miss it next year.
After years of attending the free 4th of July event (absolutely fabulous), we decided to purchase tickets for the "Christmas Spectacular" concert. While the quality of the symphony music was excellent, it was somewhat lacking in traditional Christmas selections. It was difficult to appreciate the music when you were not familiar with it. We were also disappointed in the absence of vocals, which would have greatly complemented the music and made it "spectacular". We will not be attending next year.
If the enthusiasm of the orchestra did not put you in the Christmas spirit you must be the Grinch! Very enjoyable and great selection of music.

This was a great concert! The music was great along with the fun interaction of the conductor coupled with the professionalism and quality of music offered. I brought my daughter to experience the symphony as she learns the violin. The concert offered lighthearted entertainment that also met her age group with the fun Santa song and more.
First time at a symphony. It was fantastic! Really brought the holidays to light. Not only was the music fantastic but it was funny, and therefore it made the audience come and be a part of the show. Looking forward to next year!
Took my grandson to his first symphony and he summed it up in three words "It was phenomenal" I loved the mix of pieces they played in their holiday show, coupled with the conductors sense of humor. Special visit from Santa topped it off!
