About

Green Day redefined punk rock in a post-grunge world. Rising from the Bay Area punk scene in 1987, the band released several EPs before coalescing into their long-standing lineup of vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool. The trio shared the independent album Kerplunk in 1991 before releasing their major label debut Dookie in 1994. Behind singles like “Longview,” “Basket Case” and “When I Come Around,” which each topped the Alternative Airplay chart, Dookie reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Dookie earned Green Day three Grammy nominations, including a win for Best Alternative Music Performance, and the album continues to stand as the band’s best-selling release with over 20 million copies sold worldwide. Green Day followed with 1995’s Insomniac and 1997’s Nimrod, with the latter boasting the band’s biggest creative shift with the rare acoustic single, “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).” After 2000’s Warning, Green Day spent the next few years developing their first of several ambitious projects, the 2004 punk rock opera American Idiot. The album became Green Day’s first to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and it logged two Top 10 singles with “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends.” American Idiot garnered seven Grammy nominations and won two, including Best Rock Album. The band won the Best Rock Album Grammy again with 2009’s concept album 21st Century Breakdown. A stage adaptation of American Idiot debuted on Broadway in 2010 and won two Tony Awards and a Grammy for the cast recording. Furthermore, Green Day were first-ballot inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.

    Great show but long lines

    by R on 9/9/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

The show itself was amazing! But the merch lines were outrageously long. We waited in line for over an hour for a shirt. And there were not enough merch stands. Should have been available on all levels.

    This was an Epic Experience!!

by Angie T on 9/9/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

The experience of this show and the venue is not one I will forget. Things went pretty smooth, the view was amazing and we were in 300 level and didn't really feel like we missed out. My only issue is that the show alerts about COVID restrictions were sent over and over but the clear bag policy wasn't prevalent so I missed it somehow and had to throw away my small purse at the door and shove everything in my pockets. I have a clear bag but never got an email with this instruction. The BANDS though were exceptional, spanning decades of rock and the audience being so varied was just amazing. I loved it all!

    Didn't go.

    by W. H. on 9/9/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

Had to sit this one out after they announced that not even CDC guidelines were not going to be enforced. After seeing photos from people we know went anyways. I'm glad we didn't. Not many were being considerate of others and keeping their gems to themselves. It's a cloth mask, not a plastic bag, get over yourselves.

This concert was one of the best we’ve ever been too. The Interrupters were amazing, Weezer was awesome, Fall Out Boy was wonderful, and Green Day was on fire!! The whole concert had us singing along and we enjoyed it all!

    Green Day Has My Heart

by Girlie Girl on 9/9/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

Weezer was surprisingly "meh". Fall Out Boy was surprisingly awesome. Green Day... what a performance! Billie Joe's interactions with the audience, willingness to be real, obvious love for what he does, and of course, incredible musical talent, all made the show. A charismatic band with hit after hit! I'd go again in a heartbeat.

    Best. Concert. Ever!

by Jennyjen on 9/9/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

All 3 bands have been around for a long time. You can tell they love what they do and they take risks others wouldn’t because they were comfortable performing. Great atmosphere and they kept me dancing and singing all night! There were a lot of people - 1st experience since the pandemic where I’ve been around so many people. Love that it was an outdoor venue though, it made me more comfortable.

    Green Day are rock gods

by PJ on 9/9/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

B I’mllie Joe had us like putty in his hand and he knew it! This is 3rd time seeing GD and they blow your socks off the moment they hit the stage! Such energy, power and amazing vocals! Frenetic energy throughout and T Mobile was shaking through the whole concert then they give a gentle good night ending with Good Riddance.

    by J-Pop on 9/9/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

Fantastic lineup. All of the bands were incredible. Would definitely go to this or something like it again. Green Day is phenomenal and never disappoints live, FOB are dynamic and Patrick’s voice is on another level, Weezer are even better live than on record and the Interrupters were so much fun to watch.

    First concert for the kids

by Trey on 9/9/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

Awesome! Wife and I took both of our boys and it was the first concert for our youngest. Watching them rock out and to see their eyes light up when every band took the stage was priceless. The tour date changed a few days after I initially bought the tickets and I did not get a notification. I only saw the change when I was double checking my tickets before we were supposed to head out of town for the concert. That was very inconvenient as I had to scramble to change all my plans but it all worked out in the end
