About

Green Day redefined punk rock in a post-grunge world. Rising from the Bay Area punk scene in 1987, the band released several EPs before coalescing into their long-standing lineup of vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool. The trio shared the independent album Kerplunk in 1991 before releasing their major label debut Dookie in 1994. Behind singles like “Longview,” “Basket Case” and “When I Come Around,” which each topped the Alternative Airplay chart, Dookie reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Dookie earned Green Day three Grammy nominations, including a win for Best Alternative Music Performance, and the album continues to stand as the band’s best-selling release with over 20 million copies sold worldwide. Green Day followed with 1995’s Insomniac and 1997’s Nimrod, with the latter boasting the band’s biggest creative shift with the rare acoustic single, “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).” After 2000’s Warning, Green Day spent the next few years developing their first of several ambitious projects, the 2004 punk rock opera American Idiot. The album became Green Day’s first to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and it logged two Top 10 singles with “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends.” American Idiot garnered seven Grammy nominations and won two, including Best Rock Album. The band won the Best Rock Album Grammy again with 2009’s concept album 21st Century Breakdown. A stage adaptation of American Idiot debuted on Broadway in 2010 and won two Tony Awards and a Grammy for the cast recording. Furthermore, Green Day were first-ballot inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.

    So much fun in LA

by MariaB on 9/12/21Dodger Stadium - Los Angeles

It was so great to finally be at this concert after two Covid postponements. The performers and audience were all equally excited to be at Dodger Stadium, and you could feel the energy all around you. We went for Green Day, and they put on a fun and energetic show - as always. Their voices and performance were still as strong as ever. Fallout Boy had some great songs too, and their drummer was amazing. We also knew several Weezer songs, and put on an entertaining show. The Interrupters opened, and we enjoyed them too. For never having seen anyone on the tour before except Green Day (countless times), we were pleasantly surprised by how much fun it all was. I definitely recommend catching the tour before it ends. You'd never think to put these bands together, but it ends up being fantastic.

    Just what I needed.

    by C. H. on 9/11/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

My first concert since pre-Covid days, and I didn't feel like I even had the energy for it. Until Green Day hit the stage, and brought me back to life. I've always loved Green Day, but this time it felt like they saved me. <3

    Everything You Expected and More

by Kenna on 9/11/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

I had such great company going to this concert which I’m sure made a huge difference. Weezer sounded great, Fall Out Boy was amazing, and Green Day really took the cake. I suggest getting there when the gates open (2 hours early) if you want any merchandise. I missed most of Green Day just to get a t-shirt. Overall the experience was so incredible, I highly recommend going to a concert here, especially an artist that you really like.

    VIP??

by RFC on 9/10/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

We sat in field level B, 2nd row. The VIP lounge was way too far from our seats. We couldn't possibly get to lounge between sets. Our seats are in center field. The lounge was near entrance street level behind home base area. A tent near right or left field would have been convenient. Wasn't worth VIP cost. Enjoyed the show though. I rate the VIP Lounge experience very low. I bought these to avoid the masses at the bathroom and concession. VIP Location improvement PLEASE!!

    Nightmare

by Big G on 9/10/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

Band's were awesome great energy. Waiting over an hour for merchandise isn't cool, last united state's tour date and you either bought merchandise or got to see your favorite band, very curious about how much leftover you had should've had at least 6 more area's to get the merchandise and double the sales and have nothing leftover

    Amazing concert!!

by Seanny on 9/10/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

Of course this was an amazing night. Three of the biggest rock bands of the past 30 years, new music and old, and an electric energy throughout the whole show! I was exhausted afterwards, like I just ran a marathon! Kudos to Green Day, Fallout Boy and Wheezer for an amazing night!

    Had a blast!

by Mordia on 9/10/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

I was sad that I was in the merc line for Weezer’s entire set but I was lucky enough to be on a level that could still see the show. My friend was not so lucky. I would have enjoyed an option to buy a day earlier. A lot of other bands have pop up events just for that. Fall Out Boy looked like that put on a great show but I couldn’t understand anything they said because they were mixed so poorly. I know the singer has a great voice but I didn’t catch it. Green Day is what knocked this one out of the park for me. They were phenomenal! The level of crowd interaction was spectacular. I came away feeling like I just had a work out. Their sound was everything that I expected from a live show. Loved it!

    Once in a lifetime

by The Librarian on 9/10/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

This concert was honestly worth the wait - and wow was it a wait! Three awesome bands, three completely separate shows. The showmanship and performance was everything I could have asked for.

    Ridiculously Fun Time

by Chris B on 9/10/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

Multi-headliner tours are always a risky proposition. It always creates a power struggle, a sense that some bands are just an overpaid opening act with audience enthusiasm to match. You find bands in venues too big for their stature, with crowds that probably came to see somebody else. Remarkably, the Hella Mega Tour completely swerves past these issues - putting on a full evening of rock that stuns even the biggest crowd of casual listeners. It helps when all three bands have enough hits to their name to flush out the majority of the setlist, and an energy that already belongs in a stadium. Weezer's iconic sing-along ballads ring so much clearer in a crowd of thousands. Fall Out Boy's hookiest choruses get chanted back to the band with perfect circular e

    Finally The Wait Was Over

    by T-Dub on 9/10/21T-Mobile Park - Seattle

After being postponed for over a year was able to take my daughter to her first real concert. Despite the enormous lines for tshirts we had a blast and the show was amazing.
