Golden State Warriors History
Founded in 1946, the Warriors called the city of Philadelphia home for 16 memorable years before moving to the West Coast in 1962 to become the San Francisco Warriors. In 1971, the Golden State Warriors were born when the team moved across the Bay to Oakland.
The team's storied history includes seven NBA Championships, an NBA-record 73 wins during the 2015–16 season, eight players named to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team and 31 members inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
The Golden State Warriors also have the distinction of having the third most NBA Championships to their name (seven), and the third-most appearances in the NBA Finals (11). The only teams that have more are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics. The current team is led by two-time league MVP Stephen Curry, who won the Clutch Player of the Year Award in 2024, and eight-time All-NBA Defensive selection Draymond Green. The Golden State Warriors’ most recent NBA Championship came in 2022.

FIRST THE GIVE AWAY WAS GREAT. THE LINE TO GET IN WENT FAST.
We went to see Steph Curry. He sat out due to "illness". Probably because they were playing Pacers. Ruined the whole experience. Been a fan of NBA for 30 years. Too many times this has been happening. Will never attend another NBA game.
First time to an NBA game. I had the best time. Getting in went quickly. Found our seats with ease and the ushers were helpful. Look forward to attending another game.
Super excited to catch Warriors at Chase as my first NBA game experience. Great no-fee seats, super great service from Warriors staff from beginning to end, and easy access to Chase Center from the East Bay made it quite memorable. The W was the icing on the cake. Go Warriors!! Definitely will be back. Amidst all the turmoil in the world, currently, it’s nice to support such a well-organized and thoughtful organization.
My 1st time at Chase Center to see the Warriors and I could not ask for more! Of course watching the Warriors play live and in person with a WIN was a great experiences, but what really impressed me was Guest Services! From the bag checker, ticket taker, and the wonderful supervisor who helped me pull up my tickets on my phone to the folks that helped me with wheelchair service....My what an awesome, friendly, helpful team you have working there! TY so much to the whole staff!
People in front of us kept asking us to move because they wanted to sit in our seats. Their kids had 4 seats and they wanted us to move so they could sit behind their kids. The whole game they kept asking us to move to other seats. I paid for these seats for my Birthday and didn’t want to move after preparing for months for this game.
I learned how to pace myself from watching y’all practice, and to most importantly, be giving to the community.
Great experience, Loved seeing my favorite players. Would recommend 👌🏼
This was our first time to Chase Center and we had so much fun. We were able to park right across the street and walked a short distance to wait in a short line. Everyone was so friendly and helpful at the stadium and we found our seats easily. The seats were very comfortable and the entertainment (the Warriors) were off the hook. We will come again. We can't afford tickets to a game but Open Practice was just right!
