Flashdance (Chicago) Tickets

My wife and I attended the second day showing of this musical with high hopes. Certainly the energy that was exhibited was huge and flashy. The principals particularly showed that. Unfortunately, those hopes were not completely realized. Part of the problem was that the sound balance was not good between the singers and the band. When there was only speaking, we could hear the voices very clearly. But when there was singing, the band overwhelmed the voices, making it very hard to understand what was being sung except by inference. Hopefully that was fixed in later performances.

The first half was great. Second half was really nothing to write home about!

We were in the 5th row! What a phenominal musical - we loved it!

This was a performance to remember! I cannot say enough about it...it is a must see!!!!

Everything was just uninspiring. The lead's voice was tinny and almost childlike. I did think the woman who played Gloria was very good, and reminded me of Kristen Chenowith. I never really felt entertained.

I am insulted that this play was brought to the paying public. I would give no stars if you had a field for it. This is what was bad: script, timing, flow,direction, original music and 3 star cast. I know we are not Broadway but I was insulted that it was brought to a Chicago stage.

Simply amazing !! Jillian Mueller is Fantastic !!. And she does all her own dancing. : )

If we didn't have our children with us, we probably would of left at intermission. The lead female actress who played Alex could not dance or sing. She provided no energy and just flat out fizzled!! If it wasn't for Gloria (the life of the play), we would of been sleeping in our seats. Neither the lead Male or Female were able to project their singing above the orchestra music. The remaining cast members were excellent.

We loved the performance - extremely well done. We had great seats and would welcome the opportunity to attend more shows here.

What a great musical! We thoroughly enjoy this musical play. The lady cast members were beautiful and the entire cast were very talented singers and dancers. We could not have spent a Sunday afternoon doing anything better than seeing this wonderful program. Wish they would be around longer so we could go see it again.

Flashdance was fun , but not great. My daughter and I couldn't understand most of the words in the songs. I don't know if its because we were in the balcony or what. I got a good deal on the tickets. If I had paid full price I would have been disappointed. If you get a good deal its worth seeing, but don't pay full price.

Dissappoining. Too much new music...not enough of the original stuff. Dragged in spots. Dancer playing Alex was superb!

One of the best plays I have ever seen. I was spell bound, production was so great I would go back and see it again.
