    Deepok was forgettable :(

by Newmexblue on 11/22/14Abraham Chavez Theatre - El Paso

Unfortunately his lecture was disjointed and had no real flow. His PowerPoint was all over the place and did not have a real point or had too much information to really read. The 20 minutes spent meditating was not what I came for. I felt the 20 minutes should have bee more of Deepok and his lecture. I meditate daily and did not expect to pay for that. Boo hoo! I hope it was just an off night for him. I will not do it again, instead I will watch a TED talk etc.

    Disappointed

by NGggggg on 3/4/14NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

I am a huge fan of Deepak Chopra, but I was disappointed with his talk. I felt like I had no take-away. There was no begining, middle or end.

    Not enough Deepak

by Feistychica on 2/16/14Broward Center for the Performing Arts Au Rene Theater - Ft Lauderdale

The seminar lasted 2 hours. He was great and very informative. It was a shame that it was over so quickly. There were many points he touched upon that were so interesting.

    Deepak Chopra - mixed feelings

    by Vini4128 on 11/20/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

It was my first time seeing Deepak Chopra live. I wanted to check him out. I've seen him on Oprah a few times and did his meditation series online two months ago. Have to say, it was a bit misleading to me; it seemed like I was going to hear some general things but I thought the focus was going to be his new book. The image of the book was on the screen before talk even began and stayed up until his slide presentation. He's a good speaker and I did loose him for a bit when he talked about "the universe" etc. but after about half hour he came back to 'earth' and I enjoyed his insights much more. The slide presentation was a bit of a mess to me. He's too well known/pro to not have customized his presentation for this show. It was a multi-use/multi audience, including Doctors! Not very professional. I did enjoy most of the presentation and the meditation exercise was good. I was in the total nose bleed section, felt like I could have paid half the price to be sitting all the way up there. Incredibly steep and tight space. I would NOT recommend those seats to anyone. Sorry! Plus, there were SO many open seats on all the other levels it seemed it was driven by price.

    An Evening with Deepak Chopra

by transnormal on 11/17/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

The staff was awesome, super polite and professional. The food choices were of low quality and not appropriate. Especially for this event entitled "What Are You Hungry For?: The Chopra Solution to Permanent Weight Loss, Well-Being and Lightness of Soul". The sound system was not appropriate for the speaker. Deepak is a soft spoken individual the system should have been adjusted for the event ie a speaker vs a musical concert. The person handling the audiovisual was not prepared, they should have given Deepak a clicker/mouse.

    Deepak was not supported!

by Restoredinc on 11/16/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

I paid for VIP tickets and did not receive VIP treatment. The staff was courteous but not able to handle the crowd. Deepak did not have water. He was not knowledgeable of how to turn through his slides. His introduction was weak. I felt he could have been supported better. VIP had to stand in the long lines because the books were not pre-signed. We could not take pictures inside or outside after being told we could take pictures at the book signing. Overall, my expectations were not met on the customer service side but Deepak's material was awesome.

    Deepak Chopra

by daffodillydeb on 11/15/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

The 2 hour lecture was very good...amazing, in fact, with the information presented; however, I was a bit disappointed that he did not speak more directly about his new book "What are you hungry for?" However, I definitely left feeling enlightened and with much to process mentally. The seating location was very nice, however, I paid VIP prices and I have a couple of issues - 1 the VIP seats were unpadded wooden chairs set on top of a board covering the orchestra pit...very uncomfortable. Included in the VIP pricing was an "autographed" copy of Dr. Chopra's new book, But upon arriving at the theatre there were no pre-signed copies of the book...to get the book signed I had to stand in line....but being at the front of the theatre the line was incredibly long and I was not able to get my book signed . I should have saved money on the ticket and sat further back. The VIP "treatment" I received was terrible!

This was the most amazing experience for me. I was so excited when Deepak came out I almost began crying. It was an electric moment that I will never forget. This man is my rockstar. Meditating with this number of people was sacred.

Deepak didn't seem to thrilled to be presenting. He seemed to have winged it and not follow his program as according to his slide show. Was disappointed.

Chopra was immensely inspirational and practical

by Yabaa on 11/15/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

I appreciated the way Deepak presented the material. The focus was not on weight loss but on who we are, as human beings, in relation to the universe. He offered practical ways to stay connected to, what he calls, the true self, the soul. The experience of listening to him and participating in the meditation convinced me that I can find satisfaction through this connection to self, alleviating the need to fill up with "other" things. Thank You Chopra.

    Insightful

by meditator on 11/15/13Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

The talk was a bit abstract for me to follow at first, but still enlightening. I was glad that he talked of his life's work, rather than just the book. Listening to Deepak, I could tell that he is a soul embodied with wisdom, intellect, and a deep love for mankind.

It was informative, but not about what the event was supposed to be about.
