About

CROSBY, STILLS AND NASH IN CONCERT:

Formed at the end of the '60s, folk rock supergroup Crosby, Stills and Nash remain legends to this day, as beloved for their perennial touring as they are for their influential legacy in American music history. The group, occasionally accompanied by Neil Young, has weathered over four decades of dramatic highs and lows, coming out no worse for the wear — in 2012 they released their fourth live album CSN 2012, proving their intricate vocal harmonies were as exquisite as ever and building anticipation for their 2014 tour dates.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Their voices were magnificent. You could close your eyes and be transported back to 1969. It brought back so many memories."

"After all these years their harmonies were right on. Each old CSN song was done with a lot of life and attention to detail. These guys really seem to care and it showed."

"Acoustic versions of classics including Helplessly Hoping and Guinevere sounded as good as ever, along with roaring rock & roll classics."

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash had each already been members of successful groups when they got together in 1968, hailing from The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, and The Holllies, respectively. After an improvised performance at Joni Mitchell's house resulted in the trio harmonizing together, they took steps to make it official, signing a unique deal with Atlantic Records that used their surnames as the band's name, giving them an unprecedented level of independence and ensuring that the group could not continue on in the absence of one of them. Following the success of their self-titled debut in 1969, they added Neil Young as an official member to round out their touring lineup. The new configuration proved to be a hit — Deja Vu, their 1970 debut as a quartet, landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, going on to sell over seven million copies. Over the course of eight studio albums, the band has penned some of the most iconic songs in American rock music, continuing to thrill fans with arena-filled performances of classic hits like "Ohio" and "Helplessly Hoping."

    the original super group

by Grastafari on 5/20/15Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

Full of warmth and humility, Crosby Stills and Nash sounded pretty good for a bunch of rock icons in their 70's. They played a long show with a short 15 minute break and really touched on the earliest stuff and each appreciated the response to their new solo material.

    CSN Saturday night

by TheUsher on 5/20/15Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

This was a night to remember. As David Crosby said onstage, "What a beautiful place, just a fuckin' beautiful place". I wrote that down because it was so apt. The venue is just spectacular. Jude & I are recommending The Kings to all our friends & family, no kidding. The staff are top notch, friendly, knowledgable and competent. Having workied in & around the Rock & Roll biz since 1969, I'm very happy to add this room to my list of favorite music halls. It's a new place, they have some catching up to do, but that's to be expected. Do yourself a favor, check out the calender for a band you like and GO! We'll be back!

    Happy to see CSN

by PeatlesFan on 5/19/15Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

Enjoyed the tried and true hits!!! I am not usually a big fan of artists trying new songs. I would have preferred more of their old songs. It was a good show and I was glad to see it.

Band & vocals were incredible! Harmonies were spot on! These guys keep getting older but their voices are still so beautiful! *What I did not like was the commute to and from the theater. I came in from Manhattan by cab. It took 1 hour and with tip cost $60 ONE WAY! There's just no easy way in and out which is very unfortunate because the theater is absolutely gorgeous! Neighborhood seemed a bit dicey too.

This concert is on my top 10 list. The concert started pretty much on time (8:10) and they played until 11:05. there was a mix of classic old stuff and some individual new stuff.

CSN needs to vary their set list...they basically play the same set with the identical cover songs.

CSN as good as it gets!

    by titanic22151635 on 5/19/15Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

My wife and I see CSN as often as they are around the New York area in small arenas, ie Westbury, Jones Beach and now The Brooklyn Kings Theater. We have attended at least 6 of their concerts in last 8 years. The show we saw on May 16 in Brooklyn was one of there finest. They played for 3 hours and Stephen Stills sounded awesome. Run to see them before its to late

    CSN was awesome!!!

by Couwoo on 5/19/15Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

Great show! These guys have not lost it, and are as great as ever. They played all the old tunes plus some new ones that they each wrote independently. They played some of the old tunes are a little slower than in the past, but they sounded fantastic nonetheless. The words they shared between songs were touching and funny, and they were clearly happy to be touring with the other band members, the crew and their family members. Crosby's son was on keyboards, while Nash's son "takes care of him on the road". Very sweet.

Crosby Stills and Nash at Brooklyn Kings

    by XYZ300 on 5/19/15Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

This theater is amazing, it was my movie theater when I was little...if you are in the New York area please try and go ! My first time seeing Crosby Stills and Nash even though I have been a fan since the 1970's. They were great but the music was too loud for a folk rock band. My friend and I had to get ear plugs (which the theater provided). If they toned it down a bit it would have been perfect. They did all their hits and some lovely new songs.

Crosby, Stills and Nash @ King's Theatre Brooklyn

by RubyInthedust on 5/19/15Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

The second night with Crosby, Stills and Nash at the incredibly beautiful King's Theater in Brooklyn was even better than the first night.. it was close.. but, yes better! I asked the band.. and they agreed... David said "It was a great place and a great audience!" For me it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. .. if not the best! Not only because I was backstage after the show, not only because I was hugged by my musical hero David Crosby... but because of the beautiful, beautiful songs that were performed with passion and virtuosity, because of being in the front, having eye contact with my heroes, because of the band being ON FIRE last night. Because of Graham playing my beloved Catheral... because of the STUNNING unreleased songs performed by David... pure chills! Because of Stephen's awesome new song Virtual World ... among my favorites already... Because of Suite Judy as last encore again. .. a song that will have a special meaning to me... always and forever... Because of Stephen being in a funny mood... giving a little clue of how Dylan would perform Helplessly Hoping... to perform Dylan's magical Girl From The North Country afterwards ... with tears in my eyes... because of all three having their "voices of the angels" still.. stunning, amazing, sublime harmonies, hitting every high note perfectly... still chills while I'm writing this! Last but not least because of the beautiful venue and a real passionate audience that showed how much everybody adores these amazing musicians! It was a perfect night of music... I will never forget these three hours of my life and I will carry these memories in my music soul forever! Thank you David, Stephen, Graham, James, Kevin, Shane, Stevie and Todd!

    Crosby, Stills & Nash delivered

by Anonymous on 5/19/15Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

I had forgotten how many great songs these guys wrote. Although their voices aren't quite what they were before, the songs are fabulous and they put on an excellent show. It was also nice to see the rapport among the three, multi-talented singer-songwriters.
