Counting Crows are a Grammy and Academy Award-nominated rock band that have sold over 20 million albums worldwide. Behind popular singles “Mr. Jones” and “Round Here,” Counting Crows’ debut album August and Everything After (1993) sold 7 million copies and peaked at No. 4 on Billboard 200. The sorrowful, roots-driven vocals of singer Adam Duritz transcended the alt-rock charts with 1996’s Recovering the Satellites. Fueled by the success of “A Long December,” Recovering the Satellites reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200, cementing the Counting Crows as one of thegreatest adult alternative artists of all time.

Cant say enough good things about the Greek Theater. What a gem. feels very intimate. Great sound. Great seats-though many backless. Love the line up. Looking forward to next year
What a perfect show ! Great Setlist. Band tight as always and seeing a show under the stars at the Greek was worth the price !!
This was my first time (not my last!) seeing the Counting Crows. The Greek Theatre is the best venue, and they love playing there. Really enjoyed the beautiful evening and their live music. My only disappointment was that they didn't play my favorite song- Mrs. Potter. I was ready to sing every lyric, so I will see them again someday and cross my fingers.
Wow!! What an amazing show!! From opening with Sullivan Street to closing with Holiday in Spain. It was a great atmosphere at the Greek Theatre. Can’t wait to see them again!’
Beautiful venue. Adam Duritz is a genius. Great to see him perform live.
The Counting Crows put on an amazing show with great energy. They are seasoned pros and played a solid 2 hours. The Greek Theater in Berkeley was also an awesome venue!!
A magnificent night in the company of the counting crows.. I don't give them the 5 stars for the high cost of parking at the YouTube Theater.
It was a great concert overall. My seats were good. They we’re on the 1st balcony. The 2 things that irritated me was the last the cover band played way to long and the other is the fact that I couldn’t see half of it because the lady in front of me wouldn’t sit down when no one in front of her was standing up.
This review is intended for Counting Crows, not the opening band... I am sad to report that Counting Crows/Adam Duritz was very disappointing. Adam was not into it. No passion, no excitement. Even the band members didn't look thrilled to be there. No one was dancing. It all started at song #2, the iconic "Mr. Jones". It, and all other songs that we knew, was a bit distorted and unrecognizable, especially after hearing it hundreds of times before. Fans go to hear their favorite artists. And when bands decide to play our favorite songs and you can't even recognize them, it's just disappointing. While Counting Crows was a bummer, I'm happy to report that the opening band Dashboard Confessional, was a nice surprise! Chris Carrabba and his band were exciting, talented and lively! We were unfamiliar so we looked them up but you can tell they have a strong fan base and looking back, the crowd was much more into them for the hour they played than all of Counting Crows' whopping 1 hour and 40 minutes.
My first time to this venue (Thunder Valley) and first time seeing Counting Crows. Both venue and artists were fabulous. There were some songs I wanted to hear that they didn't play, (Einstein on the beach, Hard candy, anything from Somewhere under Wonderland) but all the songs they did play were great. It shows the depth of their career and albums. Although Angels of the Silences is my favorite Crows rocker, the acoustic version they played was absolutely stunning. Great concert. The venue was beautiful with great sitelines and sound quality.
Thunder Valley Casino is a great venue. Adam was amazing. They played all the songs I had in my heart before I came. This is defiantly something you don’t want to miss. I will see them again if I have the chance. It was wonderfull.
I have always love, love, loved Counting Crows and they were better than ever on this tour. Adams voice is still perfect, the song selections and band were perfect. So very glad we got to see them again live!
Great show but they did not play Murder of One. The encores with Dashboard were awesome. Highest energy of show. Only so many trips around the sun Adam. Get healthy my brother. Big fan since 93’.
The crows brought their usual awesome performance. But the sound from very good seats was quite distorted. Any song that had no drums or Bass sounded fantastic. Don't know if this is the venue or just a bad mixer but it was disappointing.
Ok, so Adam may be slowing down a bit, but the band, as a whole, are still amazing after all these years.
I went with my wife, sister and friend and we all agreed the Adam and the band were not great that night. We really felt they just phoned it in for the most part. We were only about 10 rows back and we could barely recognize Mr. Jones and their other hits. Waste of time and money in my opinion.
It was absolutely incredible!! Dashboard Confessional opened and totally rocked! Counting Crows were amazing!!! Did not want the night to end!!!!!
This Venue is not ADA friendly. You are forced to park very far away and to walk through the entirety of the the smoke filled casino to access the area where concerts are. I asked staff and they told me you could find a shuttle and it would get you a little closer but not much. I will be extremely hesitant to see shows her in the future. It would have to be a favorite, like Counting Crows. Once inside the music Venue it was nice and the staff there were extremely helpful and kind.
Great show all around! The reason I chose this title though, was because Adam was singing that just before Charlie's solo. It took me a minute to realize that it was from Carpet Crawlers by Genesis... one of my other favorites bands. That just made the night for me!! Did anyone else catch that?
Wow! Counting Crows and Dashboard Confessionals put on an amazing show. Adam and Chris sounded so good I didn’t want the show to end. The acoustics at The Venue are exceptional and there isn’t a bad seat. Venue staff was wonderful and really added to the positive experience.
