Not worth it! For the money it didn't work for me. Chiropractor vendor? What's that all about?
Loved it. Second time going. Liked the better and greater variety of chocolate options this year and the cocoa booth was my favorite. Get there early on the first day for shortest crowds and full stock of samples and sale items. The cooking demonstrations were a bonus.
this was a poorly planned event! there was not very much chocolate to sample, not really any chocolate wine/beer, and nothing was properly organized as the lines go. i would not recommend this event to anyone, actually I called my friends and told them not to go! Do yourself a favor and save your 20 dollars a person for something actually worth going too.
This is an event to attend once. The $20/person admission charge was very steep; the free samples, when offered, were quite small; and everything else had a price. I won't be going back.
First of all, the event was in a cold, dark, grunchy basement. Second, there was definitely not enough vendors or "events" (as they call them) to keep you occupied for more than 2 hours. The price of the tickets is not justifiable at all. You are paying them to go and pay for overpriced marked up items from vendors (half of whom were not inviting and it was awkward to ask for a sample). Definitely do not waste your time or money on this "event"
We had to wait in line for up to 40 minutes per table only to find out that each vendor was just trying to sell you their products. Now I could understand buying something at the end of the festival, after I've discovered my favorites...but I was under the impression my $20 ticket entitled me to taste everything there, which was absolutely not the case! This whole event was a scam.
A worthy effort to comfort the foodies of Hampton Roads - a region not known for an abundance of chocolatiers. Good exposure for existing businesses and - hopefully - encouraging to other entrepreneurs. Loved the samples!
It was a fun experience with variety of choc however it was not worth 20 dollars admission fee.
Unfortunately this did not hit the spot. Minimal vendors with minimal tastings. For a festival you'd expect more and all you got was less and less. These are chocolates you can buy anywhere. Don't waste your money on this event.
Bad set up, poor line control. Overall madhouse. Would not go back again
