    Chocolate Festival

by Anonymous on 3/26/13Exhibition Hall At Norfolk Scope - Norfolk

It was a very nice chocolate festival, I have never been to one. But the lines to sample the chocolates were very long. Then when you got to try the samples they did give a very small sample for you to try. Also if you were going to buy some of the products they were kind of pricey. There could of been more of the chocolate samples given out to try. Over all experience it was ok. I would probably go again next year.

There should have been more vendors more variety and more samples very disappointing

I fared out the long lines and managed to get about twenty samples of chocolate.

    Was NOT Worth It

by BlueFaith626 on 3/25/13Exhibition Hall At Norfolk Scope - Norfolk

Thankfully the tickets were only 20 bucks because this show wasn't worth that at all. There were only about 30 booths. Each booth had samples that were about the size of an M&M. There were a lot of people so the lines were ridiculously long. Some of the people at the booths were rude. A lot of vendors were running out of samples after the festival was open just a couple of hours. It was something to do on a Saturday, but I would not go again or recommend my friends go to this festival.

    Va Chocolate Festival

by TammyHA on 3/25/13Exhibition Hall At Norfolk Scope - Norfolk

20$ per ticket for what a few samples. There were only a few exhibits that planned well for this event. The rest look like they threw it together at the last minute. Definitely disappointed and not worth the .

A bleak event compared to last year!!

by Seasons72 on 3/25/13Exhibition Hall At Norfolk Scope - Norfolk

I was terribly disappointed by the lack of vendors at the event. Last year's event was fantastic with vendors everywhere and lots of chocolate and wines to sample. To give you an example, I was having trouble holding on to all of my little shot glasses that I was accumulating from the numerous wine vendors. This year, I had one plastic cup and only ONE wine to sample. Another example, I almost made myself sick last year sampling all of the delicious chocolates and treats that were offered. This year, I left hungry.

    Not worth the Admission/Drive

by Lectorlady on 3/25/13Scope - Norfolk

Event was okay - not what I expected. Not a lot of vendors (and I understand there were more than last year) and quite a few were not chocolate related. Definitely not worth the price of admission, nor the drive from the Peninsula!

Kinda pricey for the number of chocolate vendors

by LaurieRN on 3/25/13Exhibition Hall At Norfolk Scope - Norfolk

I thought there would be more vendors. The tickets were $20, but after fees, I paid $27. THis was sort of high considering there were not a lot of vendors; it fit in one room at the exhibition hall at Scope. I would probably go again. Next time, make sure the demonstrators have a fridge to put what they make into; I wasn't able to get a sample of what the chef created because he had to cool it in a makeshift COOLER, one tray at a time.

Long wait for chocolate I couldn't buy.

by reyfun on 3/25/13Exhibition Hall At Norfolk Scope - Norfolk

Took my family to this event but it was crowded and not much fun for the kids. The chocolate alcohol was awesome but couldn't buy it there because they had no liquor license. There was no sign in front of the booth to let us know if they had free tasting samples which would prevent us from waiting on them to say anything. Overall I think my money would have been put to milk duds at the movie theater with the family.

    Chocolate festival way too expensive

by Luigibc on 3/24/13Exhibition Hall at Scope Arena - Norfolk

Very disappointed. The tickets were very expensive for what the event was. I found very few exhibits, besides those of fudge or cupcakes. I liked that there were several activities for children, unfortunately would not attend again.

Terrible event, too expensive and not enough to do with the kids and family. A complete waste of money!

Festival of Chocolate- such a great idea

    by missy91 on 5/2/12UCF ARENA - ORLANDO

Before I came, I was a litle concerned that there wouldn't be enough activities to last until 6. But there was plenty to do and eat! I enjoyed that they were throwing chocolate to the crowd, they had competitions, trivia, tons of samples, classes and more! They had chocolate covered strawberries, marshmallows, got to dip some stuff in a chocolate fountain, cookies, cupcakes, fudge, Gelato and more. And the fact that they used only "chocolate chip" coins instead of money was rather ingenious too. (They had festival of chocolate stamped on them)
