Very cute show! The actors and actresses did an amazing job. It was a neat opportunity for the kids to meet the characters after the show.

    Charlotte's Web

by NAlva on 8/19/14Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

We to ok my two year old to see Charlotte's Web. It was his first play and he loved it. The whole family enjoyed the play and had a great time. The play is suitable for all ages and the actors are very talented. The children actors are great. The teather is excellent for children since you can see from every seat. My son really enjoy the music and it was very nice that some of the actors stayed to sign autographs and take pictures. It was an unforgettable experience for us as a family. We will definitely come to see another play soon.

Great show but costumes need work

by csom on 8/19/14Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

This was a fun show with great acting. Only complaint is that the costumes were too minimalist. I think it's tough for kids to understand minimalist costumes. My daughter referred to Wilbur as "the boy" instead of "the pig" and, to her, Charlotte was a woman rather than a spider.

    Charlotte's Web was delightful!

by Latnis on 8/18/14Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

My granddaughter and I recently visited Chicago and attended the performance of Charlotte's Web at the Broadway theatre. This simple rendition of this childhood classic was executed sweetly and beautifully. Well Done! Bravo!

    Caught in Its Enchanting Web

by AubreyMaturin48 on 8/15/14Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Charlotte's Web at Broadway Playhouse is a delightful adaptation of the beloved children's classic. Emerald City Theatre expertly uses the stage and auditorium to transport the audience to rural surroundings and to the state fair. The animals' personalities are cleverly suggested by costumes and mannerisms. The child actors who play the young animals are effervescent! I really enjoyed this sweet production. It's a wonderful show for the whole family.

    Charlotte's Web was delightful

by LiliZ on 8/14/14Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Not only was my 5 year old daughter enthralled by the performance, all of the adults accompanying her felt that it was a fabulous production. Too often children's theater dumbs itself down; however, this staging took a cue from the original author in knowing that its child audience was capable of so much more. The actors were impressive and the staging was incredibly creative and provocative. A lovely story of friendship that used Templeton for comic relief in such intelligent and intuitive ways. Thank you for a lovely theater experience that really was on par with productions we have seen by other first rate chidlren's theater companies.

Charlotte's Web was an outstanding experience for both a grandma and a 9-year-old. Excellent interaction of performers with the audience. Absolutely delightful! We are big fans of the Emerald City performances.
