Just okay...
Cadillac Palace - Chicago
I loved the movie but this musical was disappointing. It was just "okay", definitely overpriced. I dozed off a couple of times, and my husband did as well. The songs became repetitive after about a half an hour, and the main character came off as annoying rather than a cool charmer. I would not recommend this musical. The theater was comfortable and charming as always but the performance was lack luster.

Catch Me If You Can
Cadillac Palace - Chicago
The play was average - the dancing was a bit over done. The story line is cute and interesting - the music was pretty good. The actors that performed were good.

Catch Me was my greatest theater experience ever
Cadillac Palace - Chicago
This play was really fantastic. The story itself is incredible, and the play was amazingly portrayed. The songs really add heart and feeling, and this was not just a scripted version of either the book or the movie which I loved. The best song was Home is Where You Are. They did an amazing job of infusing feeling, clear story, and elements of surprise and intrigue. The effects, dancing, and music were all right on. As for the venue, even when we were sitting directly next to someone else we did not feel cramped in our seats; it was very comfortable. The Q&A with Frank A. Jr. afterward was fantastic, though I was disappointed in the audience's questions! I was dying for someone to ask what motivated him to make his decisions, and to ask him if he is still motivated by the same things, rather than requesting idiosyncratic details about the script. If he ever does a Q&A when you're attending, be sure to sit on the "stage left" side of the theater to get called on.

Fascinating story
Cadillac Palace - Chicago
I find this story fascinating.....that someone so young could morph into so many different people with great confidence. I thought the score was very good and the cast great. I found it to be an excellent adaptation of the movie and enjoyed it just as much.

Great performance. Couldn't imagine how they could turn such a great movie into a live production, but they did a great job. Very entertaining!

Great Show!
Cadillac Palace - Chicago
I took my husband for his birthday. We both loved it. We even by chance sat next to a group who used to fly for Pam Am Airlines. They filled in a lot of background info. What a fun experience.

Mediocre
Cadillac Palace - Chicago
The musical was nothing special, the costumes, the voices, the songs could use some improvement. Paid full price for the ticket. However, I would only recommend if you can get discounted ones. Mediocre...
Based on the hit DreamWorks film and the incredible true story that inspired it, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN is the high-flying, splashy new Broadway musical that tells the story of Frank W. Abagnale, Jr., a teenager who runs away from home in search of the glamorous life. With nothing more than his boyish charm, a big imagination and millions of dollars in forged checks, Frank successfully poses as a pilot, a doctor and a lawyer - living the high life and winning the girl of his dreams. But when Frank's lies catch the attention of FBI agent Carl Hanratty, Carl chases Frank to the end...and finds something he never expected. This delightfully entertaining musical has been created by a Tony Award®-winning "dream team," with a book by Terrence McNally (The Full Monty, Ragtime), a swinging score by Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman (Hairspray), choreography by Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray, Legally Blonde) and direction by Jack O'Brien (Hairspray, The Full Monty, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels).
