This was one of the best shows I've seen in my entire life. I am a musical theatre major, so I've seen a lot of shows in my life. The choreography was so flawlessly executed, and Sally and Cliff were amazing. The Emcee was incredible, absolutely flawless and incredible and talented and amazing. I'd recommend this show to anyone, not really for the faint of heart, but this is a very important story.
The Emcee for this show is the first person you see performing and he captures you right from the start. The Cabaret girls are the right combination of sexy and slutty. Sally Bowles will bowl you over with the power coming out of that tiny body! Cliff is charming. Can't say enough about Fraulein Schneider and Fraulein Kost with their beautiful voices. Herr Schultz is perfect in his role, as well. This production picks you up at the beginning and carries you through the story of these lives intertwined in pre-war Berlin. Randy Harrison is perfect as the sexually charged Emcee. His strong voice and naughty ways set the tone. His face truly mirrors the action and is the audiences true connection to what's going on.
This may be the best show I have seen in Chicago! The emcee was amazing! He did a fantastic job interacting with the audience. I would highly recommend this show to anyone that appreciates great theater. For those that do not attend much theater, this show will set your expectations higher in the future.
