Before The Beatles, The Beach Boys or The Rolling Stones ever played a note, Rock 'n' Roll was forever changed by Buddy Holly, a 19-year-old kid from Texas. BUDDY — The Buddy Holly Story tells the true story of Buddy's meteoric rise to fame, from the moment in 1957 when "That'll Be the Day" hit the airwaves until his tragic death less than two years later. The show features more than 20 hits including "That'll Be The Day," "Peggy Sue," and "Oh, Boy!" Buddy will have you on your feet and "send you out of the theater on an unstoppable high" (The Boston Globe)!

The play was well done and totally entertaining. We though it was awesome.
Great entertainment, excellent production, has everything
If you love the early rock n' roll, you'll really enjoy Buddy! This show rocks!
Loved the music and cast was great ! Audience was on their feet dancing.
the Buddy Holly Story was absolutely great!! All actors did a great job. Music was awesome. Would see it again another time.
EXCELLENT! Beyond our expectations! Want to see it again & again:-)
I had seen this show about 10 years ago, so when I heard it was coming back to the Chicago area, I had to buy tickets immediately. As a huge Buddy Holly fan, I recommend this musical for anyone who loves rockin out to some amazing music from the TRUE KING OF ROCK N ROLL! This musical won't upset, and the cast was absolutely amazing. Andy Christopher did an excellent job as Buddy, and the rest of the cast was just as wonderful and talented. Excellent and accurate story line that keeps your attention, and gets you dancing and feelin good!
Unbelievable that a Buddy Holly musical would be disappointing - BUT - disappointing it was for me. Weak cast and direction made for a rather dull experience. Actors made the direction/blocking look like "I'm supposed to stand here because I was told to do it." It looked like what it was - getting ready to move into the scene. Costuming was avarage and in general, so was the acting and singing. The best part was the Buddy Holly hits. Hearing them again was fun. Would have been better if the singing was stronger. If I would have known about this show ahead of time I would'nt have spent the money for the disappointing and fair experience. With the high price of tickets NO SHOW CAN AFFORD TO BE FAIR OR AVERAGE AT ALL FOR ANY REASON AT ANY TIME!!!
The performers were great, but the audience didn't seem to be into the show until the final concert scene.
