About

Bluesy singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt has worked long and hard for her multiple Grammy Awards, hit singles and chart-topping records. Since her 1971 eponymous debut, the California-born performer and long-time activist has steadily maintained a music career, albeit with definite peaks and valleys. The red-headed songstress, one of the only women of her time to play guitar using the bottleneck technique, unleashed seven albums in just nine years, though her big commercial break came with her 10th studio set, 1989’s “Nick of Time.” That 11-track collection, produced by Don Was, earned three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

Not only has the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer tackled multiple U.S. tours and international runs, but she’s also a frequent participant in events of social activism, such as Farm Aid and Amnesty International concerts.

Raitt’s 16th full-length album and most recent studio release, “Slipstream,” hit retailers in 2012. Not only did ticket sales for the support tour soar, but Raitt also landed the best-selling blues album of the year and took home the Grammy for Best Americana Album.

    Entertained

by SweetT on 5/10/24Macon City Auditorium - Macon

Bonnie’s voice is still amazing. The MCA should be a perfect venue for her show. Having the audience dripping sweat is inexcusable. Skip the political and social agenda. We came out on a Tuesday night to be entertained, not indoctrinated. We were entertained but I charge one star for political interference in our night!

    Unbelievable sound.

by speedgoddess on 5/10/24Macon City Auditorium - Macon

At 75 years old you’d think Bonnie would start to slow down, but she sounded as good of not better in person than any of her recorded songs. Her voice is so smooth and just perfection. Definitely impressed!!

    Great, as usual!

by BayGal on 5/10/24Macon City Auditorium - Macon

Bonnie Raitt's concert in Macon was great! I have seen Bonnie many times and she never disappoints! Maia Sharpe is a great addition to the tour. Only issue was with the venue...it was very hot and humid the day of the concert and it seemed the auditorium air conditioning wasn't turned on until the concert started! I have attended other concerts at the Macon Auditorium and have never had that problem. Still, I had a great time!

Bonnie at 73 has the voice of an angel and can still rock it! Wonderful show from a special lady we’ve lived through the years!

    Bonnie Raitt

Talent and concert was exceptional. Facility was not wonderful. No AC for a chunk of time and the banquet chairs were too close together. You can’t expect people to sit that close for 3 hours. Spread out seating

    Great Night

by LizMyra on 5/7/24Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

Always love the Tennessee Theater. First time in the balcony and the experience was still good. Bonnie Raitt put on a great show. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is because of Bonnie reserving a majority of the good seats at very expensive prices to support a charity. I could have afforded the jacked up price, but I don't support forcing fans to give to any charity.

    Could be better

by Marcel Evers on 5/7/24Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

The show started with an unexpected support act that slowed everything down and wasn't very uplifting. Bonnie was great but spent lots of time on a stool and behind keyboards, so few rocking moments. Theater in Knoxville made up for a lot of things

    Fabulous !!!

by Sue on 5/6/24Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

I completely enjoyed the Bonnie Raitt concert. I love the Tennessee Theatre and am always happy to see a show there; especially when it's a country music star like Bonnie Raitt !!! The whole show was wonderful to say the least.
