    Better than the real Mode!

by afanfor28years on 8/4/14House of Blues - Las Vegas - Las Vegas

There is no better way to travel back in time, to hear Dave Gahan's amazing baritone voice surrounded by the magical compositions of Martin Gore and executed with captivating musical landscapes of synth and guitar that we all have come to love. Blasphemous Rumours sound just like Depeche in the 80's and 90's. Their sound is like it did on the albums (since they dont use a drummer to muddy it up) with amazing live and charismatic performance by the bands lead singer.

Duran EXCELLENT, Blasphemous Rumurs on the decline

by Anyababypb on 10/31/11House of Blues - San Diego

It was my first time seeing the Duran Duran band. I thought they did a terrific job. The singer really looks like Simon Lebon a little. Great to hear all those songs too. I have seen Blasphemous Rumors twice before a few years ago and I have to say that they we somewhat disappointing this time. I understand that the fellas who actually played the instruments are gone and that it's mostly karaoke tracks now, and that may explain the sterile vibe they had. The singer seemed to be a bit heavier and it showed in his energy. Not sure what was going on with that clothing choice either? But they are tribute bands and you expect them to be a bit hammy I guess. There seemed to be about 3 times as many people the last few times I seen them too. It wasn't that bad, just not as good as they used to be. All in all it was still definitely worth the free ticket.

    A Great time...

by Nenithiel on 10/24/11House of Blues - San Diego

It was awesome seeing Andy "David's Gone" Singer with two new members and Blasphemous Rumours back. I love the energy and the guys really have the music down. A slight break in tradition with dress for the opening for something special in regards to the new "Fletcher", but back out after a Gore fronted song in something more traditional. An excellent selection of DM music from all eras. I wish I could make the Anaheim show Monday. Blasphemous Rumours and Rio are well worth seeing. These Tributes are a credit to the originals.

    What a fun night!

by OCVegan on 10/24/11House of Blues - San Diego

I've seen both tribute bands, Rio and Blasphemous Rumours, over 20 times each. I think they're both incredible bands. They're professional, sound great, look amazing (okay, they're smokin' HOT), and really seem to pay careful attention to detail, but at the same time, they don't take themselves too seriously. Their set lists will satisfy the most hard-core Duran Duran/Depeche Mode fan. Their performances should make even a mediocre 80s fan want more. Loved the jokes and the British accents - nice touch. I'm looking forward to seeing Rio, Blasphemous Rumours, and Curse (Cure tribute) on Halloween at the Grove of Anaheim. Should be THE Halloween show to attend. Can't wait!!!!!

    Blasphemous Rumours Rocks!!!

by MissGMD on 10/24/11House of Blues, San Diego - San Diego

I must say I continue to be amazed and impressed by this tribute band! They sound like the real thing! The lead singer sounds very similar to Dave Gahan! and the two keyboardists really know what they are doing when recreating the music. I have never been disappointed. I have followed this band for the last few years and will continue to for years to come! Thanks for making it so much fun!!!

    Some Great Party

by afanfor28years on 10/24/11House of Blues, San Diego - San Diego

Firstly, Rio were an awesome opening act. The lead singer energetically executes the songs with Simon LeBon's uncanny energy. Those baselines are brilliant and well played. Then Blasphemous Rumours. 1st saw them in 2008 and just get better and better. The lead singer has the same amazing rich tone as earlier period Dave Gahan, performing some of the same famous moves. And for the Martin Gore guy, I had to pinch myself, I thought it was the real deal. Maybe he came incognito to help out. Who care, he was brilliant too. And Fletch in his early era Just Cant Gwet Enough "village people" black leather hat was fun and energetic to watch. Both bands are a must see. You really get to experience Depeche Mode live...and in my opinion, they sound better than current Depeche Mode live, executing the 80's era DM style to perfection.
