    Hugely Underrated... Deserves Greater Acclaim!

by Samszl on 7/23/13Atlanta Civic Center - Atlanta

I've wanted to attend an event like this for a while now, and I was not in the least bit dissapointed. My girlfriend and I both thoroughly enjoyed every second of this show. This is one of the best, if not the best, authentic African dance-musical stage productions I've seen!

    Beautiful taste of my Roots

by hesmine on 7/23/13Atlanta Civic Center - Atlanta

I enjoyed the beautiful singing and the dynamic rhythm of both the men and women. I was awe inspired over and over again. The fitness of each of the participants was encouraging to see as well. Over all it was so inspiring to see how we carry out the roots of our ancestors without a doubt. The more we change the more we seem to remain the same. I am grateful for having the opportunity to experience the show. Lady T.

    Africa UMOJA was Outstanding

by IManC on 7/23/13Atlanta Civic Center - Atlanta

The UMOJA performance was ultimately the greatest I've ever seen and I have seen a fair share of cultural performances in my 61 yrs. Having front row seating of course added to the experience. This was truly an historical journey in African music from South Africa. I LOVED EVERY SECOND and I strongly recommend the experience to all. Thank you UMOJA!!!

Unforgettable performances Ratings for me is a 10.

by Mzdiva1 on 7/22/13Atlanta Civic Center - Atlanta

Umoja was awesome, awesome, awesome. The dances, the story of the struggle of blacks in South Africa another Montgomery Alabama United States. Nelson Mandela is my hero I get tearful when I think of the 27 years taken away from him but he held on to his faith and kept his hopes and aspirations alive. Your top star is a 5 for me I give a 10. Thanks a million for bringing this Amazing performance to the Atlanta Civic Center. God bless you all and have a safe and successful tour. Some day I would like to learn how to dance the African moves.

Africa Umoja should have been titled African Fire

by Cireej60 on 7/18/13Mahalia Jackson Theatre - New Orleans

This was the most amazing, colorful and exciting stage show I've ever seen! The movement and progression of a complete story that leaves the audience connected to the performers in a way that makes you wish the show had a longer run. My wife and I purchased tickets near the front row center for the Thursday, July 11th performance at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre, and left feeling I had underpaid. The program is a must have to educate African-Americans to some aspects of South African history and culture. The call for unity is a Heralds Trumpet wake-up call to people around the world. The cast is electric with energy, speed and precision. Great singers, musician, dancers and actors in an assemble cast that needs to be seen more than once to take in all that each setting reveals. The only problem with sitting in the front is remaining in your seat. The show was so inspiring I wanted to stand, dance and sing for shortest two and a half hours of my life. I'm looking forward to the tours return, I'll bring a group.
